Palestripe opened her eyes, and found herself in a dark musty forest. She could see nothing but the dark trees, seeming to blend to a dark shadow. She had never been here before, but she knew where she was. "How could you?" A familar voice hissed.
"Greetings to you, too," Palestripe meowed, turning to see a golden she-cat standing before her.
"Anwser the question before we get on with greetings," She growled.
"How dare I what?" The she-cat asked.
The new tabby, that shared the overwhelming shadowy outline as her forest, snarled. "How dare you take away Nightstalker! How dare you abandon LeafClan the second time around!"
"Take him away?" She questioned.
She rolled her eyes. "I loved that tom, and now I'm dead and I no longer matter!" She hissed.
Palestripe snorted. "I've heard the story. You single-pawedly led yourself to your own death." Anger then flared up inside her as she remembered the other comment. "What do you mean I abandoned LeafClan, Sunstar?" She said threateningly.
"You left LeafClan, and now you request to go on the ShadowClan patrol? That not only proves you hate me and LeafClan, but that you're going for Nightstalker! He's the only reason you want to go!"
Palestripe cracked a small smile. "Let's set some things straight. You and Nightstalker fell for eachother, I'm not denying that. But practically killed yourself and his brother. He left Batflight and you in the same day, and you turned him into a big ball of crazy. I met a panic-eyed tom saying two Clans worth of cats were in danger by foxes, and I had to get Pantherstar to agree to help him. I felt sympathy for him when I saw him, so I told him my name, knowing this was my old forest. Then I went after him to explain why I told him I'm Palelight, and I just realized that no one was going to stop him from being crazy except for me, so I would."
Sunstar didn't say anything, just watched her with her teeth grinded together. "And how did I abandon LeafClan by running away when you chased me out and requesting to help a new friend's Clan rebuild itself? You chased a queen and her kits out of her Clan, and you turned over you're Clan to it's enemy saying it could do whatever it wanted with it."
"Everyone abandoned it for ShadowClan! Why shouldn't I?"
"I left to find Brackenstick, and you were shoving me out with Tumbletail and Whitewhisker when they were barely a few days old, and he died while I went to CloudClan. Plus Shine-eyes had to leave for ShadowClan and...and...he killed himself instead of joining ShadowClan!" Palestripe yelled back.
Sunstar stood there, looking as if the wind had been knocked out of her. Palestripe closed her eyes tight, wishing the world away. When she opened them, she found Sunstar staring frozen at her. The Dark Forest faded away until she opened her eyes in her make-shift nest alongside Tumbletail and Whitewhisker.
