Name: Shadowed Soul (Soul for short)
Age: 6 years
Gender: Male
Story: Soul never really liked to mix with others when he was young, blending in to his surroundings instead of standing out of the crowd. It was this attitude that go him in trouble in he first place, the Aoki who never liked to be with any one but himself.

He was born to two brightly coloured parents, his dullness making him instantly unusual and somewhat unliked by the brighter Aoki kits. Soul would spend his time alone in the forest, breaking the twigs and swor fighting with himself. His parents tried to get him some friends, well they tried. They'd shuffle him around others so perhaps they'd interact with each other. It failed and in his upset Soul traveled further in to the forest, further than he'd been before, and alone this wasn't such a good idea.

Night fell and Soul was still trudging along and following along the flowers, he hadn't noticed how far from the path he had wandered and wasn't going to admit he was lost. The moon followed along behind, almost tethered to his long tail, guiding him as the darkened forest's only light. Lighting cracked the sky and in a flush of fear Soul rushed through the snapping branches of the trees, seeking shelter.

The branches caught his pale grey coat, pricking and scratching him as he ran. There was another flash of lightening, Soul cowered under the bare branches of the nearest bush, picking thorns from where he could. The night continued on rough, but Soul knew he had to gt home. The forest was no place fo a young Aoki. He scrambled from his hiding place, wings over his head as a rain shelter. His fur was damp and heavy there wasn't much of a chance of him getting back but Soul continued on...

More will come.

Name: Celcius
Age: 3
Gender: Male
Story: Celcius was very young at the time, unsure of the surroundings that he grew up within. He simply had climbed into a tree where the sun would seep through the tree's limbs and warm his gray and black pelt. He wasn't really liked by any of the other Aoki so he spend most of his time alone, trying to cope with what harsh words they would say about him. Trees were the only thing he could seek refuge in; only place he could get away until one tradgic thing happened.

Celcius was sleeping in one of his favorite trees when something below shook the tree, causing him to lose his grip and fall. Instead of falling to his feet like he taught himself to do, he fell onto one of his sides which cause great pain due to what he landed on. Below the tree were a few rocks that were hidden by the grass, when he landed on one, it struck a few of his ribs and caused a little internal bleeding. His body started to shut down and caused him to black out. He woke to find he was recused and taken well care of.

Each day he would walk by the same tree and remember the accident that had taken place. He still sleeps or rests in trees but he is always aware of what could be around and knock him out just like before.

Story:

Soft petles of rain can never replace the bitter tears of life...
~~~
A bright flash! ..and the world succumbed to darkness. The silence was ripped apart by thunder, which rumbled before giving into the ringing melody of rain. A shadowed figure stirred into motion, opening it's large and disoriented eyes. They gleamed brightly within darkness. Red. Like the alluring rubies. Though many perceived the colors of blood and horror. The shape was alone within the darkness of a broken rain. It was everywhere, suffocating his spirit. It spoke to him in the gentlest of whispers. "Sayu..." It called him by name.
The memories of the stricken soon came back. He spread his wings, feeling the left-over electricity rush though his veins, however leaving everything in tact. As the rain continued to dance within the atmosphere, the delicate feline creature stayed motionless underneath a make-shift cover of wings. There was no presence lingering- he was alone and lost in thoughts.
A simple outcast of society, he pondered about his life within this place. His parents were no longer that of the living, taken by the cruel and blood-stricken death. That was the day his eyes forever changed to the luminous blood-red. Silver was the color of his birth. So gentle and pure, only to become stained within the near future.
He was blamed for the murder. No one believed in the spiritual world.
Indeed! The ghosts were not a simplistic figment of imagination. He often found their companies more pleasant than that of the living. He was brave enough to build a connection within a gap of two worlds. He could speak freely with the dead, which in turn made him the outcast of the living.
"Run away..." The wind had whispered. The simple wishes that Sayu had pondered every day. Was this the time to go? Leave everything behind and find another life? He was lingering within the place, though was there anything to hold him back?
The rain was coming to an end, ending his peaceful lullaby.
With the entering silence, Sayu took off into the darkness to start the new adventures of life.
Story: Feine Schneeflocken fielen auf mein Gesicht, die Abenddämmerung breitete sich über den Himmel aus und alles leuchtete in einem satten Rot – Lila Ton. Wunderschön mit anzusehen doch meine Augen fielen auf einen Aoki vor mir. Älter als ich selber, viel Älter. Weckte er doch mein Interesse und so tapste ich leichtfüßig hinüber. Vor ihm angekommen kam ich zum stehen, setzte mich und schaute hoch, hoch auf den Fels, auf welchen er Platz genommen hat. Ich hatte seinen Namen schon einmal gehört und ihn vielleicht auch mal gesehen, doch selten habe ich ihn so ruhig da sitzen sehen, seine Augen hinauf in den Himmel, passend zu seinen roten Augen.
Ich räusperte und fast schon böse fielen seine Blick hinunter zu mir. So als würde ich seine Ruhe stören, doch er sagte nichts, nur sein Blick durchbohrte mich. „Guten Abend.“, fing ich an, doch er unterbrach mich direkt. „Was willst du? Gib es doch zu, du willst zu auch nur hören.“ Ich schmunzelte was er wohl meinte, doch dann fiel es mir ein. Seine Geschichte, etwas was jeder hören wollte, die jeden berührte. Ich nickte nur, brachte dabei aber kein Wort hinaus. Er schien sie viele Male erzählt zu haben aber dennoch nicht darüber hinweggekommen zu sein. „Nun gut.“ Seine Blicke fielen wieder in den Himmel und er fing an zu erzählen.
Acht Jahre ist es nun her. Wir Aoki haben früher zusammen in einem großen Wald gelebt, er war fruchtbar, grün und bat genügend Futter für jeden von uns und wir waren eine beachtliche Menge. Wie jedes Jahr kamen viele Jungen zu Welt, wieder mehr Mäuler zu stopfen und doch machten wir uns keine Sorgen. Wir konnten durch die Vielzahl unserer Kämpfer unser Gebiet verteidigen, auch gegen jene die sich von uns abwendeten um alleine nach ihrem Glück zu suchen. Immer wieder kam es vor, das jemand meinte sich aufmischen zu müssen und sich gegen IHN zu stellen. Er war der Anführer, der rechtmäßige Herrscher über uns und gleichzeitig mein Vater. Viel hatte ich nicht mit ihm zu tun und meine Mutter hielt mich die größte Zeit von ihm fern. So gut er uns auch leitete, er hatte etwas grausames und böses in sich. Selbst mir hatte es damals Angst gemacht.
Nun mitten im Jahr, in der Besten Zeit unseres Volkes kam diese eine Nacht. Sie begann ruhig, keine Anzeichen von Gefahr und so standen die Wachen ruhig auf ihren Posten und die restlichen schliefen. Doch ich konnte schon die ganze Nacht nicht sehen, denn etwas war anders als sonst, der Mond hatte sich blutrot gefärbt und es war still, kein einziger Vogel und kein einziger Windzug. Ich schluckte, als ich hinaus blickte. Und dann ging es los, die Wachen schlugen Alarm und alles passierte wie im Flug. Außenseiter, Abgestoßene und Freiwillige hatten sich zusammen getan, bauten einen Plan gegen uns auf und griffen uns nun an. Sie spielten mit Feuer, verbrannten unsere Nester und hinterließen Chaos. Wir kamen gegen diesen Überraschungsangriff nicht an, wir waren verwirrt und wurden unterdrückt.
Meine Mutter brachte mich in ein Loch und schrie mich an, ich sollte mich nicht mehr blicken lassen bis sie mich holte oder es ruhig war, richtig ruhig. So wie am Anfang der Nacht. Meine Augen würden niemals die schreienden Katzen vergessen, das Feuer das sie umgab und unsere Angreifer. Eigentlich sind wir ja eine ruhige Rasse, zumindest der weibliche Teil und so war es keine Überraschung, das der Großteil der Angreifer Männlich war. Und doch wollte ich in diesem Loch bleiben, bei allergrößter Not. Dann plötzlich war alles ruhig. Kein Ton, nur noch das Feuer, was nun auch langsam erlosch. Regen folgte um diese Tragödie deutlich zu machen. Dies war mein Zeichen, ich sollte hinaus kommen, Mutter würde nicht mehr wieder kommen. So krabbelte ich hinaus und wurde gepackt. Mit starkem Biss in den Nacken. Ich miaute qualvoll und hatte Angst, Todesangst. Es war ein großer, brauner Aoki. Er funkelte mich an und in seinen Augen konnte ich meinen Tod sehen. Doch es lief anders. Ich hörte meine Mutter schreien und er schmiss mich in die Ecke. Ich stöhnte vor Schmerzen. Seine Blicken und auch seine Pfoten trugen ihn zu meiner Mutter, er packte sie und tötete sie letzten Endes, wie alle aus meinem Volk. Nur wenige konnten sich retten. Er knurrte mich an. „Verschwinde und komm wieder. Erinnere dich und fordere mich heraus wenn du alt genug bist. Komm und räche deine Mutter.“ Er ließ mich laufen und doch, meine Welt veränderte sich. Ich werde ihn finden … und töten.
Er schwieg, so auch ich. Doch dann erhob sich sein Körper, ohne etwas zu sagen, ohne sich umzudrehen verschwand er. Auf in den Wald. Auf seine Geschichte zu beenden.
Name: Bark.
Age: 5 years.
Gender: Male.
Story: It started with a storm on a solar eclipse. The sun was the colour of newly shed blood and a small creature was stirring, calling for help in the empty wilderness. Trees. That was all his small eyes could see, the grey and red bark spreading for miles upon mile. He had been left there, abandoned to face the merciless world alone. Cold and frightened, Bark limped further on, praying that he might find food, a den, something. Something other than trees.
Days passed like weeks.
Weeks passed like months.
Months passed like years.
Would this journey ever end?
Finally, one night it seemed like there was hope. A mountain range, tall dark and looming over him. Bark was about to step forward and as his small paw touched the ground, lightening struck and the crisp forest arose in flames. Desperately he fled up the hills and away form the blazes. Then to his shock, looking down upon the land, he no longer saw grey trees. But tall proud plants, golden crystals growing from their branches out into the skies of the open heavens of stars...
(If you look at his markings up side down, they look like trees and the yellow specks look like gold and finally, the gems and the colours flowing off of them look like lightening. Causing a fire and then the trees turned to grow crystals and some of the other makings look like mountains and so on...) WIP. )
    u s e r n a m e My user name is Host. I know, it's truly quite simple, but I was astonished that I was actually able to get it. Considering the book The Host by Stephanie Meyer is truly quite popular. I love the book, and cannot wait for the movie to come out this March.
    n a m e Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ash or Ashby for short. That is what I would name this beautiful little guy. Why? Because after much searching, I could not find a name that perfectly fit this little boy. So, I randomly typed in a name in Google. Which happened to be Ashby. It came up with Ashby-de-la-Zouch, and I found that it was an English name. I love England, so it just kind of stuck. It is also a castle, and I am a huge fan of castles. And thus, the name came to be.
    a g e I give Ashby the age of 3 years. Old enough to have plenty of experience, but young enough to have a whole life ahead of him.
    s t o r y
    I sweep my tail back and forth, curling and uncurling it as I spring tree to tree.
    Tree jumping was one of the many joys I recieved in life.
    I don't have a care in the world at this point in time. I wasn't too fond of humans, and I was quite glad they weren't in this area. The children tended to bother me too much. I had moved around a lot before I had finally found a secluded land where the amount of humans dwindled, but Aokis thrived.
    I glance down in surprise when I hear my name drift through the trees, the voice beautiful and catching my attention instantly. Ashby... I stop and drift to the ground, raising my nose toward the sky.
    Soon, a beautiful Ainokoe steps forward. She has snow white fur, with elegant amethyst patterns on her back. Never in my life had I seen something so simple, but so beautiful.
    The posture in which she stood was relaxed, and her white fur drifted beautifully with the wind. Her ears were pricked, and her head was cocked slightly to the side. Her amethyst eyes met mine, and I found myself flattening my ears instantly. I felt electricity course through my body from my tail to my nose, making my fur prick with interest under her averting gaze.
    Tentatively, I step forward and give a cautious flutter of my wings. I catch the glint of an amethyst light coming from her tail.
    This, is the beginning of a lovestory.
I enter the fields and spacious halls of memory, where are
stored the countless images that have been brought into them
from all manner of things by the senses. There, in the memory,
is stored what we cogitate, either by enlarging or reducing our
perceptions, or by altering one way or another those things
which the senses have made contact with; and everything else
that has been entrusted to it and stored up in it, and which
oblivion has not yet swallowed up and buried. "
