Even though you laid to rest
so many years ago
I still hope with all my heart
to see you again
to hear your voice
just....just to be with you
no one else realizes I care
But I do
So please, please don't forget
I'll love you longer than forever
I'll love you forever and a day~ ❤

To be truthful, this is not about a family member. Not even a person.
This drawing, and this poem a wrote are for my cat, Tommy. He was with my family since I was two years old, and I grew up with him. Two years ago, he died of cancer. I still remember sleeping by his bed, and sobbing before I went to school. Before I left, I kissed him good-bye. I will never forget the way he looked at me. His eyes were glazed with pain, but still he remained an air of dignity, and of peace. In that moment, I knew he would be okay. He would be watching from heaven, with his brother. That is how I will remember him. Being so brave through the pain he endured in his final weeks.
Rest In Peace. I will never forget you, Tommy.
