White Gold in the Snow

Postby King of Crows » Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:28 am

White, who is not a fan of the cold, curled up in the snow, regarding you with a look of distasteful boredom.

As I am sure you can tell, I put quite a lot of effort and time and love into this piece. I found a new style of shading fur realistically, and I think it has really payed off. At first this turned out not nearly as well as I would have liked, as I was forced to rush towards the end. So, I have gone back through and fixed the shading, added highlight, and touched up the snow.

I really hope you guys like this! You have no idea how much it would mean to me if you could just drop a comment or critique <3 I'd love to hear any suggestions you have to offer!

I used this one:
Here

It was really awesome...though instead of going step by step it basically just explains how it works and gives examples of each.

This is absolutely adorable... Very well done! The shading, lines, coloring, background, everything looks beautiful!

But if you don't mind me saying one thing; The right ear seems a little bit strangely positioned compared to the other ear... It might just be me or your style though, I'm not sure :3

Thank you so very much! I finally got pen pressure, so my lines turned out pretty well this time around :)

Ah, yes, you see the right (or technically left) ear is not upright like the other ear, it's swiveled a different way (more down and side ways) as though White is listening to something beneath the snow.
