Well. I felt like drawing a Velociraptor. As you can see, this is my first time and I failed miserably. On the bright side, I discovered a little technique that helps with shading, which I'm happy with ;3;

Comments and crits are very welcome, especially about the anatomy, which I seem to fail at.

Also, what do you think, should I keep him/her? any ideas on the name/gender?

The tail is a bit thin and short, the back too round. For the length of the neck: it's probably too long but I think it looks fine for realism you should add feathers but that is really just a taste (tough velociraptor had them, other raptors maybe not)
It's awsome that dinosaurs are making it to CS and yours looks really good.
Before you take JP raptors as a reference remember that those look more like utaraptors or dromeosaurs due their size. Velociraptors are 'bout the size of a turkey I think.. (2m length, 1.5m high)
