Now, I know it may sound a little strange to be fitting a Kelpie but .. I've had a recent obsession with this song and I think it .. fits her. Somehow, if not the lyrics, then the beautiful piano part c;

The lake was still, only disturbed by a gust of wind so much like a breath of air that one would have needed the eyes of a hawk and the senses of a butterfly to have noticed it.
But the looming shape beneath the water did.
Slowly, tantalisingly, a ripple appeared in the center of the body of water. It spread outwards, becoming larger and larger until it hit the banks of the lake and faded into nonexistance. There was a slight pause, then another ripple followed. And another. And another. And another, until the tranquil surface had been shattered to a storm of waves and crashes as they hit the banks. From the chaos the shape emerged and the noise seemed to still a little, like it was afraid of this dark presence. The silhouette slowly turned it's head to the left, then to the right, and it's eyes gleamed a little as if it was pleased with the disruption it had caused.
The gust of wind blew again, with it the distinct scent of blood .. and the creature was simply gone.
One moment it had been there, amidst the crashings of the waves and the storm it had created; the next it had disappeared beneath the waves in a split second and was gone from any view.
In the distance, there was a soft nicker. A kind, welcoming nicker that symbolised peace and gentleness and harmony with the world.
Then the scream came. A scream of agony and anguish and hate and fear all bundled into a heart-wrenching symphony.
Then there was silence.
The ripples were gone, crashing was gone and the calmness could almost fool one into thinking that a monster had never dwelled in the bleak waters.
why you want him/her, and what you'll use them for:
I personally think that kelpies, while a little scary, are very beautiful and graceful animals. I'm a very keen horseback f=rider and think that anything vaguely horse-related is epic so that might partly explain it, but.. yeah.
Anyway, for one thing, silver's my favourite colour. And when i was browsing through all the Kelpies up for adoption and saw this beautiful one with her long, flowing silver mane and tail all I could think was: yes. So I've decided to go for her!
My signature is looking rather boring at the moment and I need something to brighten it up a little. She'll go in my signature and I'll probably make a lot of art of her: she's worth it!
