So here's some adoptables I've been working on off and on for a little while. I wanted to exercise my use of color palettes and break out of my box with designs. I feel like I succeeded for the most part. Here's a few little tidbits about the characters.

1. The white on their muzzle and tail as well as the yellow bits are shine, so they change depending on where the light is coming from.
2. Its light blue stripes are not shine, and the yellow markings are a part of him.
3. Its colors are based off of a cactus and its flowers. Their red hair is essential.
4. The big draw for this one is the hood, which has hibiscus flowers on it.
5. Is similar to the masked creatures that have become popular. The markings on the mask hard difficult to see, but I can make a bigger picture of each character if need be. He also has a small bone on a string around his tail.
6. It's a natural, spotted doggy with a cute green checkered sock. :3
7. I pictured this one as a warrior, with markings that resembled armor or the body paint of a warrior.
8. Has markings that give them a mask and lacy gloves along with lace along its back.
9. This one is very dragon like. The markings can be just markings or scales depending on your preference, and the amulet around its neck is a dragon coiled around a red stone. It also has ear piercings.
10. A creepy one with a mane and curly tail. They have markings like dripping wax and the eye trails to make them spookier. It just missed the appropriate season. xD
11. This one has ram horns and little back hooves along with a lion-like tail and some leafy markings.
12. It has markings like lacy stockings on its back legs with foxy ears and a tail that moves like Kyubey. There is also a red chocker with hearts dangling from it and it has slit pupils.

Collective ideas

- Is a golden jackal (unless you have a specific species in mind for your designs).
- Pals with an young Arabian Oryx named Akbar (friend and overall companion).
- Adara is a rather anti - Don Quixote like character, but Akbar is much like a Rocinante like character(not anti).
- Wields a short dagger studded with emeralds (to which she is obsessed with). Hidden around her neck under her hood.
- Practices magic that surrounds water, plants, and the essence of flowers.
- Travels the deserts and shrub-lands of the Middle East, never wanting to stay in one location.
- Makes a living as a thief when money is needed.
- Great interests in dragon-lore and in the rumors of the existence of dragons.

- Adara loves exploring, her love for it began when a beggar in Yemen "sold" her a story about a giant, gold, feathered dragon who is said to live in Petra, Jordan. Adara, being quite fascinated with dragons, believed the beggar's story and set off on an adventure that crossed the Saudi Arabian deserts, cities, and shrubs.

- She begins her journey in Yemen. Specifically from a small home-town village in Socotra, an island with unique and strange plants.

- Socotra is where she got her deep fascination with flower essence and plants, and where she first began to experiment with magic. She'd grow many varieties of plants and flowers, but she found that the hibiscus flower gave her water-centric magic the most potential and greatest power and effects (why doesn't have to do with Adara, but it's centered around the dragon she is searching for and the Hibiscus flowers themselves).


- Socotra is also where Adara's deep obsession with dragons came from. The village in which she lived believes dragons built their small island, and called it their home thousands of years before "mankind". They believed when dragons died, their bodies turned into Dragon's Blood Trees and that the magic in the dragon's blood seeped into other plants, turning them into the weird plants we see today.

- When crossing ad-Dahna, Adara meets Akbar whom is a looney stag living in a cave.

- The hibiscus on her hood are real (if that's OK with you!) since she can't grow them while traveling, she carries them on her hood, keeping them alive with her water-centric magic.


Why you want it:
Design is beautiful, and so is her hood. Her marking also makes me think she's into some dark magic that surrounds water. x3''

She's also the absolute perfect character/design for a story I've been developing. I knew my lead character would be a a female, but could never develop a name/personality/ or design for her. (Mainly because I'm terrabad at creating female characters). But your/her design is perfect and gives me an overload of ideas! ;u;''
