In memory of Sandy

On Saturday morning, I was at my brother's house spending the night having a fun time bonding with my brother and his girlfriend. My brother lives out in the country and rents a place from an old friend, so the houses are right next to each other. Well anyway his neighbor's boyfriend that lives with her is a big alcoholic and is mean to their animals and it ticks me off every time i see them hurting their dog or just that they have animals in general. They have 2 dogs and 3 barn cats. One showed up and they kept it. Anyway one time when their neighbor got really drunk he shot one of the cats, everyone thought it was dead and then on Saturday morning when i went into my brother's house the cat was sitting on the deck crying, begging, for food. I picked the poor thing up not knowing and then i saw its paw. I clutched it even tighter and felt it's ribs, it stunk really bad and my brother's girlfriend when storming into the house and said "That is the cat that ____ shot!" And my brother said "No, that was a week ago." But sure enough this cat had survived a week probably with no food, because the people don't feed their cats they just think they will catch mice and stuff. And with only 3 legs. She survived a WEEK! I felt responsible, naturally, since i found her. I took my money that i was supposed to use for food for me and i bought her a big meal cat sized. Of course she shared with the other cats. I knew she wasn't going to make it because she had a really bad infection but i stayed with her that night i slept outside and i had like 4 cats on me. The next morning, Sunday i had to go home. I took the cat in to the vet and had her euthanized. When i was getting her put to sleep the vet asked me what her name was i was stumped but i replied "Sandy"
This actually happened to me this weekend, so i am a bit upset. Would be really awesome to have a hug! Or something like "You did the right thing" I failed on the orange but she was black with orange patches sort of.

I'm sorry about Sandy. At least she won't be in any pain now.

You did the right thing, its saddening that she was shot and then had to go through a week of suffering, atleast she's at peace now xxx

Yes, it is shot and i just want to shoot the guy that hurt her in the foot.
