Forest of Faries

Postby unironicbruh » Sun Oct 28, 2012 11:56 am

Hi! I'm 30angel100
Just so you know:
;) I rarely ever base my art off of anything. I'm not good at drawing what I see, so this one was based off of my imagination. ;)

:) Feel free to critique my work, and tell me how you think I can improve it. I need your input. :)
:D Thank you guys! :D

Edit: I had to change the name because I accidentally named it after an RP I play...Also, I added a magical fairy trail.

I really like how you made the leaves and the background. I? hope you don't mind if I say this but I think you can add the trunk some more detail :3

Okay! Thanks for the input! I did try to make the trunk realistic, but I generally draw with my mouse, and it isn't very sensitive to movement. I will try to edit though!

I really enjoy the sort-of calming factor it has and I love the way you did the bark on the tree and the swirly aura around the trunk. Maybe you could do that aura thing through the upper branches as well? I think that would look cool.

Okay. I'll take that into consideration. Still trying to work it out in my head.

Interesting the style is quite unique.
Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
Image

Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates
Smash the bottles and
burn the corks!

Cut the cloth
and tread on the fat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Splash the wine on every door!

Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl:
Pound them up with a thumping pole.
And when you've finished if any are whole,
send them down the hall to roll!

That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So carefully!
Carefully with the plates! ~J.R.R Tolkien (The Hobbit)

I like it! It reminds me of my favorite movie as a kid, Ferngully: The Last Rainforest!
