A gigantic wolf’s head was snarling at me, its fur illuminated, the silver of the wolf glistening like rippling water. It seemed more agitated by my scream and I just barely had time to cover my face before it lunged. It was as big as a stallion; impossible…
I screamed again as pain erupted from the bite in my arm, a pain that was spreading like fire up to my right shoulder and farther as the seconds passed. But that wasn’t what made me scream. A pain like nothing I had ever felt before ripped through my very soul, like as if it was being ripped in half and only part of it had stayed within me. I felt light-headed, the world was spinning and, as I fell, I thought I saw another gigantic wolf with rust coloured eyes filled with golden flecks. The eyes were tearful. The world blacked out, just before I hit the ground…
The rust-coloured eyes with golden flecks are the eyes of a guy she likes but the girl (me, I guess) doesn't know he's a werewolf. Yet... The soul-ripping part also comes into my book later. The black stuff around the wolves are shadows.
I worked my hardest and longest on this pic (though I did NOT try on the background. Backgrounds are my specialty. I don't like the beam of light either but I didn't work too much on it.)
