It's a total work in progress, but I wanted to explain the colors.
The base color is just a neutral tone.
The dark blue, as well as the added tuff and fluff, represents winter. It's like the dark, cold, crisp nights of the season. Winter nights are always perfect.
The orangey-red is fall, like the leaves that turn during this time. The drips on the thighs and legs are like the leaves that fall in autumn.
Green is spring. New life. The beginning of growth for the year.
And then yellow is summer, like the hot summer sun.
The design on the leg starts at green (spring), then blends to yellow (summer), then to orange (fall), to show the flow of the seasons.
