by the way, those of you who ordered art, I haven't forgotten about your art, I just needed a short break. I've been a bit stuck on art block, and I had to get back to drawing to break it. sorry guys.
these are three OC's of mine: Toain (pronounced tow-an) is the younger, blond boy in green and is thirteen years old (i based his shirt off link's tunic, because he's supposed to be link's little brother in OoT), Gale, the tall, Native-American-looking guy. He's ninteen years old. I haven't made up a name for his race yet, so if anybody's interested, I have a description of his race below. The fox-spirit thing is Suki, she's bound to Toain and grants him some minor magic power (wind, fire, ice, simple things like that) the knife belonged to Toain's father, and becomes very important later.
In OoT, the deku tree explains to Link that a mother and her baby escaped into the forest during a war, and the mother died. the first deku tree took the boy in, accepting him as a kokiri child.
Actually, the woman who died turned out to be link's aunt. His real mother was in a seperate kingdom, like a secret hyrule(which I named Nahaline) the war still involved nahaline, so link's mom told her sister to take link and run, because she thought that her kingdom would fall. It didn't, and she and her husband had a new child and wanted to restart their kingdom. Eight years later, the capital city was attacked and everyone but Toain died (convenient, right?) Toain prayed in the ruins of the chapel to farore, nayru, and din for some sort of hope. They told him he still had one living relative left, and bound a spirit to him to guide him. Toain and Suki set out to follow Link's destinations in order.(this takes them five years)
Gale, on the other hand, is of a race that when they reach a certain age they recieve a second soul from the past, like one of their ancestors. This second soul is meant to be like a mentor to to the living person they share bodies with (the second soul has no control over the body, btw) Gale takes Toain in because he's so much like his kind. They act like brothers since they knew eachother for so long.
...and Gale is also a "prince". but only for organizational purposes...(lol)
