Why I want to be an artist:
If you wanted me to name all the reasons I wasn’t to be an artist I could, (and yes would c;) go on for days. But I hope to tell you how much this means to me and thank you for giving us this wonderful opportunity. I remember when I first found out about these guys, I was just looking around on the forms all bored with nothing to do. then I saw this, I was stunned, I thought the idea was genius, I remember putting hours of work into my form writing, revising deleting, repeat. this species was the only thing on my mind for days. I probably drew/wrote/thought/Slept whelkon for about a week. they inspired me so much, I had just finished school a few days ago and had nothing to do with my summer. it was for me likely to be another one of staring at the computer screen for hours doing nothing. But when I clicked that one post, a door opened up to me, showing me a way to open up more, improve my writing, improve my drawing and to work to, thank you for giving me a goal. Thank you for making it possible for me to see just how much one thing or person could affect and unknowingly even do so much for me, then maybe I could do it for someone else and now you’re giving us a chance to see if we can try to do this for someone else? I’m stunned to say the least. I know I probably won’t win, but just giving me the chance to try means so much. I would work as hard as I could to design the best Whelkon to my ability. I also love to draw and design, and create most of all. I love to see how much one picture, or even a few words can mean to one person. I have personally always wanted to work in an art or design shop but there never seemed to be a good time, much less opportunity, but I do see one now and I hope you like my designs and thank you for creating and sharing this with us.
