The Earth Tiger is an animal for my story. You may copy the idea, but please make up your own personalities and back story/characteristics for these animals.
Family:
Tigris Aqua/Glacies
Tigris Aires (Air Tiger)
The Earth Tiger is extremely attuned to nature and it's voice.
This species of Tiger has great empathic powers, helping anyone in it's path. It is able to communicate to any other kind of species telepathically or empathically.
Also called Tigeris Terra, it is a strong and powerful creature, and will take care of it's young until they have control of their powers. They are social as cubs, but perfer solitude once reaching adolescence.
Though, as an adult, the Earth Tiger still lives alone, except once a year, they travel to a secret place deep in the forest of Sola sometime in early Spring.
Then they find a mate and journey back to the female's territory to raise the cubs.
Once the mother can leave her cubs more often to hunt, the father leaves, but may occasionally come back to visit select cubs years after their birth.
This creature grows old, up to 300 years. They can live anywhere near fresh water, perferably in a wood or jungle, although they perfer to live in more secluded areas, as each tiger has a 5-10 mile territory of it's own.
Looks: Tan fur, multi-colored brown and green stripes. The tail seems to resemble a purple Thistle.
Feeding habits: Has been discovered to be an Herbivore. Eating berries, Tree bark, fruit of the Upendi* tree, seeds, leaves, and occasionally certain water plants.
Abilities: Posesses telepathic and empathic powers, can speak to the Earth and nature, may be able to control rock and minerals, and/or grow plants at will.
Even the oldest tree certainly perks up near an Earth tiger. Flowers bloom brighter than before, and trees never bearing fruit before starts producing it, once one of these creatures pass by.
Their powers are certainly stronger in Spring.
*Upendi means love in an African language. It is a fruit made up for one of my stories, which includes the Earth tiger.
