This is my new character, Lila, and her friend (my other character,) Azul.

Azul and Lila have known each other since they were pups. They live together in a pack in the wild. In this picture, Lila had just slipped and fallen into a ditch, and Azul pulled her back up and now they are eye to eye, staring at each other, wondering what the other is thinking. This is the moment when Azul realizes that he loves Lila. But Lila doesn't know Azul's special power; shapeshifting. He can be a griffin and a mouse, but his regular form is a wolf, which he uses most of the time. Azul is afraid that if he tells Lila, she will think he's strange and not want to be friends with him anymore.

I'm thinking about writing a short story about them... titled something like A Different Form of Love
