A slender black and white cat crept through the various bales of hay that ocupied to large, dank shed. It was early mornig and Lucifer could hear the neighbor's roosters crowing at the dawn light. But roosters, although tasty, were not on this morning's breakfast menu. At the sound of a sturing amongst the hay, Lucifer froze, crouched, and pounced, thous producing the cat's first meal of the day, a plump and juicy mouse. The shed's metal doors creeked open and in came the stablehand to collect the horses' feed.
"Good morning, Lucifer," said the stablehand. Lucifur hissed at him and stalked off in the cranky way that cats are prone to stalk. (;
