''Sylvex...She..she is at risk of..'' Omer said softly, trying to soothe Sylvex. ''death'' Omer whispered.
''No! You're our pack's healer! You can't let her die!'' Sylvex snarled, wanting to bite Omer's head off for saying such things. ''I can't do a thing Sylvex. She is really poisoned. It's time...for her to maybe move on.'' Omer said carefully. He knew how hostile and aggressive Sylvex could be.
''No.'' Sylvex hissed. ''We can't do anything Sylvex! Poison's in, and I can't do anything about it! She will die!'' Omer growled.
Sylvex ran. Furiously, he stopped. I can't lose her! I've lost enough as it is. He thought, tears spilling, of how he remembered how his family died.
His mother, lost to hunger.
His father, lost in a fight over some meat that wasn't even worth it.
His younger siblings, lost due to a sickness.
And finally, his last remaining brother. He was so hungry, he thought it was time to eat his own kind in order to survive. He had taken innocent lives of wolves, then ate them. It was gruesome, that many packs had fled.
To stop such ways, Sylvex traveled to a place where not many packs were. Where not many lives of wolves would be stolen, just because of the moon. Because if that asteroid wouldn't have made it closer, then food would be plentiful.
Taking him away from civilization was a mistake. His brother turned against Sylvex, trying to kill him to eat. It was a bloody battle, but Sylvex won. Which meant, he had killed his own brother.
Now, he was going to lose the last thing he loved.
Magohany. And all because they were hungry.
