I wandered the shores of the beach by my summer cottage, the swell of ocean water pounding formations into the many rocks that littered the small beach. It was strange how, I mused, that, as I watched, time was passing, noted by the miniscule particles being smashed from the rock they clung to by the thundering waves. My eyes followed the rocky curve of the shoreline in the weak light, focusing on a large shape slick with water. Walking towards it, I realized it was an animal of some sort and began to panic, as I had never dealt with something like this before, but I had enough sense to realize that this creature, whatever it was, needed water. I began to feel dizzy, but, as I watched, it opened one violet eye, then the other. I was transfixed, or rather, I fell in love.


(As a side note, I hope it's not too many sentences. Two of the sentences I would have split in four parts, but I have to have six or less, so it's a little run-on. Sorry.

Oh - the reason I chose the name Hadrian was because, according to many websites, it means the 'dark man of the sea.' Sqweeeeee! I love that name <3 -end of rant-)[/quote]

it was midnight,and i decided to take a walk. as i walked along the forest, i came to a moon bathed pool. in the pool where some cute creatures, have horse, half dalfin, it seemed.i came to sevral calfes playing. all but one swam away, the one that dident swin away had a grey dappled pelt and some markings.i thought he was cute.he seemed to like me, and i dident see any other creature like it to be its mother or father, so i took it home :3

Well i was walking along the shore, the tide low when i spotted the lil guy in the distance, as i got closer i saw he was alone and high up shore. Seeming to be struggling with his still slim legs on the rocky beach. I cautiously walked over to inspect the lil creature and was amazed having stumbled across such a magnificent Seaquine calf. He was friendly and i took him in seeing that there wasn't any others around, but don't worry i waited on that beach for days and watched to see if a mother or any others returned for him, no luck but he is happy and safe with me and maybe one day to be united with his old herd and the wild if he ever wants

(its less than six lines when i typed it now but not sure it will change when i post it so here goes, hope its not to much ^-^)

How did you find this calf?: One day I was out walking my dog when all of a sudden a lound noise caught her attention. Being the coward she is, she dashed behind my legs as I ventured forward to see what was going on. I peered around a sand dune and much to my delight there was this gorgeous wee SeaQuine! He looked up at me and gave a little knicker and that's when he worked his way right into my heart. I bent down and ruffled his mane as he gave me a nudge, and a snort at my silly pooch. That's how I met little Heron

I casted my fishing rod out into the ocean, the rod was new and still wasn't properly working corectly after I had tired my best to brake it in befor vacation at the beach. I waited and waited, like a good fisher-woman, I had correct pationets, but the more I waited, the more it put me to sleep. I waited for 20 minnets, nothing happened, untill I had the slightest tug on the rod. I was supprised and jerked back, I rilled it it about 10 minnets latter. I relized it wasent a fish, it was a buitiful calf SeaQuine, I was so supprised by what I had cought, I pulled him up and lied him into the fish keeper hidden in the boat. It was a highly advanced one, about 9 feet long, I grabed a bucket and untied the hook from the SeaQuine's mouth then to the bucket, I had feched some salt water and poored it into the keeper and left the door open for me to here it's sweet calls and drove him with him.

I found my self stranded in a raft that had an anchor but was cut. It was getting dark and i was getting thirsty. With no one around i was about to fall asleep. Though jsu t as i was to close my eyes i began seeing shapes in the distance. It came closer and hopped aboard my raft its two hooves on it and face looking at me with curioity. I hesitantly began to know him a bit better as well as his mom. I felt a touge of my raft and noticed they were pulling me when i thought they had gone. Next day i found my self on shore, after being released from the hospital i came back and saw the calf gain who i named Kenyu.

Today it was bright as the sun touched my sunscreened skin, making it shine. Today was a good day to grab my raft the water was low and the breexe was light. I set out into the ocen slowly pushing my raft in before finally jumping in it. I paddled to the point where the water was open but i could still see the faces of the people on the shore. I thought i might rest in the spot i was. Away from the crowds and the sand. Is et my small anchor and rest on the raft. The breeze was cool and light and my eyes slowly began to block out the light.

I was woken by a spray of water in my face. It was still light and the sun hadn't moved to far. As i looked around i could see no shore nor people. Eeverywhere i looked i saw ocean. Where is my anchor? i thought. I puleed up the rope that had my small anchor attached to it. It was lighter than usual. As i puleed it up nothing was at the end of the line it had been cut. With no food no water i had no idea what i would do. All i thought of was Wilson and Tom Hanks in the movie Castway. I sat on my raft looking at the end of my rope. It was cut so pricisley like somone with a large knife cut it. I looked up in the sky and sighed. What will my family think? Will they come looking for me? Will i be alive by the time help comes? i though. So many question went through my mind. All i could do was heplessly float in the ocean.

It was getting dark now i had been on the sun for hours. I was happy that i put on sunscreen before i cam out or id have sunburn. I was getting kind of thirsty but i knew that drinking saltwater was a death wish. The only light was from the moon the sound of water and small waves surrounded me and rocked me like a mother rocks her baby. I hadn't seen much mammels only a few schools of fish. As i was about to close my eyes i saw something appear in the ocean. At first i thought it was a dolphin, but i saw a horn. Narwhales had come to mind but Narwhales didn't come to this side of the ocean. I looked around where i saw it and didn't see anything until i saw it coming closer to me. My hear jumped, i was sure this thing was no animal that i have seen before. It inched closer and closer its horn sticking out and tail splashing. Though it was not alone i saw other horns surrounding it as well as one smaller one. I just hoped that human wasn't on the menu. Their horns disspaeared for awhile i looked all around me then felt a thud behind me like the raft was tilting into the water. I screamed as i fell backwards, i then felt something behind me. I saw two hooves i was beteen this animal. I screamed i began climbing towards the other end of the raft. I turned around and got a good look at the creature that was about to eat me. It was the wirdest thing i have ever seen. Ive seen them in mythical books but here it was infront of me. It had a horse face and two from hooves but its tail was that of a dolphin. It looked at me not with hungry eyes but curious eyes. It looked at me and as if wanting me to touch him. I slowly inched foward straching my arm out slowly while closing my eyes. I finally touched the muzzle of this creature. He was small and had much of the fatures of a foal. He neighed happily and jumped back in the water splashing before coming back and making me have yet another almpst hear tattaack. "Hey" i said shakily "your cute." I said as i bgan petting him some more. His mother lay next to him she was much bigger than he was an my raft. I put my hand towards the mother. She came up and allowed me to touch her as well. When they had enough, they went back undewater. I sighed, ive seen a beautiful thing but i was still not home. I then felt a tug of the raft. Sometrhing was pulling it. The rope was tight underwater and i noticed the creatures swimming next to me and the little one with the gray body. He kept me company. I decided to name him Keynu. He made me laugh during my trip. I was not sure where these creatures were taking me but they were taking me somewhere. I was becoming tired and slwoly closed my eyes as i said good night to Keynu. I woke up the next morning on the shore of the beach. People surrounded me even medics. I did not really know where i was or what happened last night. I then slowly begaan to recollect what happened. I looked out in the ocean looking for Kynu and his family.

The next day i was free to leave the hospital i was gald to see my afmily and later wer were to have a cleberaation. Though i wanted time alone. I went down to the dock by the beach it just became dark and i looked out into the ocean. I saw a body, i squinted my eyes and noticed who it was. It was Key nu. I jumped in the water, I missed him so much. I played with him in the water for while before realizing what time it was. He pulled me back to the dock ladder and i kissed his little muzzle. "Ill see you tomrrow Kenynu" i said smiling at him. He nickred back to me. I was wet but i didn't care Kynu and his family saved my life and he was my new best friend.

How did you find this calf?: I walked down to the water's edge. And watched the baby turtles crawl into the water. i heard a big splashing noise. to big for a turtle. i walked along the shore line until i found a seaquine. it was on shore flopping around in the sand. aww the poor thing. i pushed it back into the water. But it just stayed near shore. The poor thing must be lost! I pitched a tent and waited a fue days for it's kin to come back for it. nothing came. The seaquine swam slowly in circles, waiting, for anything. i came down to waters edge. the seaquine swam as close to me as it could. And i pet it's nose. want to come with me little buddy? 2 splashes from its tail. i ran home and grabbed a strecher and hoisted the seaquine back to my house. I had an animal hospitle so the seaquine would have a wonderful time in the pools i had for the musiem as well. And she's had the best time with me sence.

The wailing of a creature woke Kelly up. As a curious 12 year old girl, she knew that an animal was in pain and she wanted to see what it was. Her house was build by the sea shore, so it must have been a sea creature. When her bare feet touched the cold sand she saw the half horse - half sea creature. It was normal for her because she has seen some in the zoo and wanted to keep one, but her parents always told her that they would have to care for it and not her, but she didn't give up. Kelly ran to Ace and rolled the creature back into the water, causing him to visit her every day.
