Nice job. I am glad you thought of different markings for each side. Animals and people in real life are not bi-lateral, every side is different in nature, why would it be bi-lateral (uniformly the same on both sides.) in art. Good thinking on the glowing by emotion.
I'm giving everyone tips, so here is your tips.
1. To do glow, I use spray paint in a couple shades lighter on a layer above and I sometimes reduce opacity to make it lighter. Then I take a size 1 or perhaps 2 smudge depending how big the glow is and smudge away from the center of the glow. For example if it's eyes, I would go all the way around, even erasing the center a little to show the eye itself, but on a gem stone, only half the way around (if it's a set stone.) because the back of the gemstone wouldn't show glowing. On yours, to do the glowing markings, I'd do a complete glow over the top and use the half eraser directly over the marking in the same shape as the marking and then do the smudge.
2. When using a dark color base such as yours, you also want to increase the opacity of the shading layer. You'll see mine is set at 50% or so (I think?) On the dark, if you increase the opacity to say 75%, the shading will show up a little better.
Remember all entrants, the tips do not have to be used on the art itself, the tips are observations and for use in the artist's future artworks. You do not need to modify your artwork unless you want to.
