Altesian Snails
(Alts for short)
Intro
The Scindendo War - the war which separated the land in to - has just ended. Neither the good snails nor the evil slugs won - the rulers simply came to something like an agreement. See, the slugs hadn't wanted to share their land with the snails. So they turned on them. It was slugs vs. snails in this odd war. The land used to be known as Paresia, but now, with the land separated in to two parts, there is Altesia (where the snails live) in the north, and Povoria (where the slugs live) in the south. The land has been separated by a gigantic, deep, wide, slug-and-snail-made river. The snails worry that the slugs will become unhappy with their limited amount of land, but for now they live in peace (that is if you don't count the everyday normal stress).
General Info
The Altesian Snail is a species of snail - not a breed. This is so they can categorize each different variety (which would be called a sub-breed if Alts were a breed) as a breed. Breeds are determined by shell color. Alts' shells grow as the snail does. Hybrids can be produced by breeding two different breeds together (however some breeds, when bred together, will produce once of the breeds instead of a hybrid. i.e. a Lemon and a Lemongrass alwyas results in a Lemon). These hybrids can sometimes vary in color.
Alts have three different body colors. Light, medium, and dark. Often light or mediums have a dark, H-shaped marking on their heads. Darks will be lighter or darker on their undersides (generally lighter).
Alts are both larger and smaller than the normal snails you can find in bushes. Baby Alts are the size of a 5 year old human's pinkie fingernail. Young adolescent Alts are about the size of a half-dollar coin. Adolescent (or "young adult") Alts are about the size of a strawberry. Adult Alts are about the size of an 8 or 9 year old human's ear.
Occasionally (once or twice a month), Psi or I will make a very special Alt - one that is none of the breeds or hybrids.
Original Breeds
- Lemon. A common breed. Light/pale lemon-colored shell.
- Dark. A common breed. Light/pale brown-gray shell with bold, thick, dark brown or black stripes.
- Lemongrass. An uncommon breed. Light/pale yellowy-green shell.
- Spice. A rare breed. Dark pumpkin-orange shell.
Hybrids
- Lemonspice. Lemon x Spice. Lemony-orange shell or dark pumpkin-orange shell with lemony blotches.
- Darkspice. Dark x Spice. Dark pumpkin-orange with thick, bold, dark brown or black stripes.
- Spicegrass. Lemongrass x Spice. Yellowy-green or dark pumpkin shell with blotches of the other color.
- Dark Lemon. Lemon x Dark. Lemony shell with bold, thick, dark brown or black stripes.
- Darkgrass. Lemongrass x Dark. Yellowy-green shell with bold, thick, dark brown or black stripes.
Markings
- H. Dark, H-shaped marking near the head on medium or light colored bodies.
- Dorsal stripe. A single bold, dark brown or black stripe on any breed except Darks or Dark-hybrids.
- Spots. Pale spots on the shell of any breed except Darks or Dark-hybrids.
- Frostbite. White "frosting" going from the center of the shell outwards.
- Tie. Dark line on the center of the top of the body.

Adopting
You must have 150 posts and have to have been on CS for at least 3 months to adopt an Alt. On an Alt's page there will be a form made by the artist. If you want the Alt and have met all requirements, you may fill out the form and post it. Do not change the form in any way (i.e. adding colors, italics, bolding, etc.) except to add the nessecary info (such as name, personality, etc.) Some forms will require art, stories, poems, etc. There will be no questions in the form that do not pertain to that particular Alt (i.e. "Why do you want this Alt?" is an example of what is allowed. "What's my favorite song?" is an example of what is not allowed).
Main Rules
- Do not steal our ideas (i.e. intro story, coloring, forms, etc.)
- Do not change the forms in any way except to add the nessecary info (i.e. don't color, resize, etc.)
- Do not complain or ask for anything you can't have
- Do not molest the artists - they are not machines, and they have real lives
- All other general rules apply
