"mouse artist" as a bad thing. Seriously. I'm getting sick of people blaming their "fails" or "bad drawings" on what equipment they use. I have a glitchy, old, worn down mouse and I would /never/ trade it for a tablet. Yes, drawing with a mouse can be difficult and frustrating at times but that doesn't mean you can blame it on the mouse. If your hand and eye coordination aren't the best then don't use one, don't even use a tablet because that's even harder, but if you do use one and you don't like your art /don't/ blame it on the mouse/tablet. The tools do what they're supposed to do, but it takes PRACTICE to get YOU better at using them. The Mouse/Tablet/Whatever you use has as much potential as you do. If you're a beginner the device is going to reflect that. Does that mean it's bad? No. You just need some practice. Most people assume I use a tablet, and then they don't seem to believe me when I /tell/ them I use a mouse and then they quote me like this: "Mouse artist?" in this posh tone as if it's a bad thing. I don't care if you use a tablet, a mouse, or a track pad, you're still a great artist! Everyone starts out sketchy, (Heck, if you look at my oldest drawings you have proof right there.) but everyone can end up /better/ then they started. It's /all/ about practice...
