Art on some of the sites I frequent seems to have become some sort of popularity contest, and while I guess I understand it to some degree, it still surprises me. Some of the best artists I know do art for art's sake, or to make someone happy, not just to get famous and get a ton of compliments. "Do what you love, love what you do." When you do stuff you really like, the rest just sort of falls into place with time. <3

EDIT: Just for clarification, this is just sort of a thing I felt like drawing, not a rant at anybody. XD Just encouragement and thoughts~.

Yeah, art is for fun! Maybe there is a little different if you are trying to start a work witch art, liek a comci artist or a animatro, cuz then it is good if people see your art. But making it just for poularity i wrong. ::3

Oh yes, I completely understand that there is a reason to get your art out there and make a name for yourself, and there are about a million counterarguments and different situations that more or less defeat what I've said (when you work for a company and you have to draw what they tell you, not always what you feel like doing, etc). But for people that aren't in that situation, and are just upset, I just wanted to give some encouragement and a push to do what you really love and let the rest come naturally. It's so much more peaceful sometimes. ^.^ <3

And thank you guys for the compliments. <3 <3 I do like how the heart came out, even if that's like... shading version five, lol. Also, eyes are my favorite things to draw ever. @.@ So much <3.
