Nice job! Sorry I can't give crit. I'm not that good with the horse anatomy. Anyway, to work with the layers, you have layer 1. You can add more layers by clicking on the + or by deleting a layer by clicking -

To start, I always add a second layer and draw on the second one. I draw a sketch first with a red pen, then add a third layer and draw the lines. After that, I name my layers. So I don't get confused. Just double click on a layer and you can name them. I add the forth layer, but I drag it down to being the second layer. Then I name it "colour" and I colour!

So it would look like
Lines
sketch
Colour
layer 1

Stunning! You can draw a better horse than me >.> But then, thats not that hard to do haha. I love it, this is actually a horse I want in real, but my 30 year old mare is perfect. xD Nice job, and well done.
