About the Species
Crystal lizards are one of the most mystical of all beings on earth. Their have the appearance of a lizards or reptile and they have colorful rock that grow from their back bones and take the shape and feel of any gem. They're barely the size of a human hand yet they weigh as much as a large rock. If threatened, they're able to blend themselves into their surroundings or dive into water. They can hold their breath for very long periods of time and swim as easily though the water like a fish, though their weight seems to slow them a little.
When Crystal Lizards reach an age, they drop their large and heavy back bones and grow their own, smaller gems taking their place.
