THE ADVENTURE
Nick and Tess decided it was time for a mini-vacation. They needed a break, and always the adventurers, they decided to take a 3-day trip to Madagascar and in the process search for new colors and designs for their website. After all, Chicken Smoothie, their website was 4 years old in April and they wanted something fantastic to celebrate with. Avian and Tutoro of course were in attendance... couldn't just leave their wonderful pets behind.
Their arrival was non-descript. All the usual... delay in flight, lost luggage, the usual 2 or 3 hour delay at the airport. Nothing much to stand out about their first day although they did have a fantastic sunset and exotic dinner. They decided to start looking the next day because they were tired from t heir flight.
The next morning they awoke, packed up Avian and Tutoro and had a tropical breakfast. Feeling rather full, they began exploring this wonderful vacation site. They were amazed at the variety of vegetation and wildlife that abounded in this moist tropical environment. "Look" says Nick... "All those parrots we've seen, wouldn't they make great pet patterns? He asked Tess. "Naw" says Tess " We already did a parrot rat, a parrot dog and lots of parrot and other bird patterns. People get bored of the same old thing." "Ok" says Nick, and they move on.
Tess says "Hey Nick... there's some gorgeous flowers over there, let me get some cut samples and we could do a month of flowers." "Hmmm" says Nick. "We've already done flowers, remember, even recently we had a dog with flowers." "Oh, duh... " Says Tess. "I've been so busy with the site that I'd forgotten." It got pretty late and so they decided to call it a day. Avian and Nick jogged on ahead and Totoro sat on Tess's arm as they drug themselves off to retire for the day.
The next day was the last day of their mini-vacation and so they decided to take a guided tour of the inner parts of the country to see if they would have any luck. The guide was very well known and said he had the perfect spot for exploring something new. Off they went. After a long hike filled with amazing colors and humongous trees which sometimes made it feel like night was coming, Avian decided to take a quick unexpected run. It was much to Tess's chagrin. She knew however that Avian never left for long, so Nick whistled and she came galloping back all bouncy trouncy all barking and excited and with her was Totoro shrieking and squawking... Nick and Tess guessed that they had found something up ahead but weren't sure.
"Hush" says Nick. He finally go them to settle down. they walked ahead for another half hour or more. The guide seemed as if he himself was getting excited and says to them all "Shhhhhhh" I think we have found what you've come for." "Please, be very quiet... we have come upon something very rarely seen and something we wish kept reasonably secret." "Ok" says Nick. "What do you mean.?"
"Well" says the guide. "We keep this creature a secret because they are so special and misunderstood and rare that if we let the world know about them, they would most likely become extinct." By this time both Nick and Tess were ecstatic. "Ooohh" says Tess. "Lead on... We want to see this amazing creature as soon as possible. I'm so excited I can barely think." "Me as well." Says nick.
Avian had her usual grin and for once, Totoro was even sitting quietly as they all crept closer to one of the most beautiful waterfalls that Tess and Nick had ever seen. That wasn't what they were most amazed by though for sitting on a branch of a beautiful flower drenched tropical tree was the most amazing creature that they just knew was destined to be their next adoptable. Before them sat what could only be called a catterfly. It was a large pink cat shaped creature with hot pink stripes like a common house cat but with stunning huge butterfly like wings. It basked in the mid day sun and was just beyond words to describe. No one dared move for fear of frightening it off when it looked over at them with a Cheshire grin and actually appeared to wink at them. It stayed for a few moments, then gathered itself and literally launched at them. "Look out." says the guide. The words were not necessary though because both Nick and Tess had landed plop on their derrieres in a hasty backward movement over the uneven trail.
The whole party started laughing at their predicament and Avian and Totoro were barking and squawking away, everyone had a jolly time. On the way back to the hotel Tess was already planning the design in her head. The guide the explained to them that this creature comes in several colors, lavender and pink are predominant but there have been known to be seen in all the colors of the rainbow and were not always striped as this one was.
Nick, Tess and the gang returned home the next day very happy and astounded that they had been allowed the privilege of sighting this amazing rare animal. They looked forward to showing their CS fans the new adoptable and here we are today with several colors and even a peter pan syndrome version available for everyone.
Thank you Nick and Tess (And Totoro and Avian) for taking this wonderful excursion to Madagascar and bringing us this wonderful new adoptable on your site. I know everyone will love it just like I do.

I had a premonition that there would soon be Catterflies and ... there now is.
