"I'll race you back to the clearing." Aspenbeak challenged Waveheart.
"All right!" Waveheart nodded, and spread his dark brown wings.
The partial albino robin spread her white wings, and counted, "Three... Two... One!"
The two of them took off, flying through the night sky. Waveheart was a natural flier, but Aspenbeak wasn't too shabby either, and she had been training a lot lately. They were side-by-side, and they were flying at exactly the same speed, and there seemed to be no clear winner...
Finally, the two landed in the clearing, as tired as if they had just flown around the forest two times in a row. They collapsed on the grassy ground, laughing.
"I win!" They both laughed.
"Let's call it a tie, actually." Aspenbeak suggested, and Waveheart nodded.

Aspenbeak is my partial albino American Robin character. Waveheart is her mate, a normal American Robin.
