The layers are set up so you can choose to draw INSIDE of the paper (so the lines are outside) or just draw on the outside.

To draw on the inside of the paper (like my guy here, looks like hes trapped!), click the layer that says draw inside
To draw on the outside (like my words) click the layer that says outside
