Ok, so while I was drawing, I thought up some back story! feel free to change it...
~*~ Backstory ~*~
Not long ago, this dragon was a normal young male, brash and brave. As he grew, a female of about his age caught his eye. She was lovely and it was not surprising that the young Drake was competing for her affections with another dragon.
The competitions grew into a rivalry, which grew into a conflict. Finally, a few years after the conflict had started, the first year dragons are able to take a mate, it came to a head.
This dragon and his rival had an areal battle. The enemy came away victor, but not before destroying our hero's left wing and scaring that side of his body
As the victor was celebrating, the drake dragged himself away to lick his wounds. As the days went by, the scratches healed to scars, but it was clear nothing could be done for his wing.
So, as his lost love and her new mate celebrated, he began to learn.
Many years passed, and who had once been brash and stupid became intelligent and wise.
During that time, he learned the arts of metal working and created himself a new wing to replace the one he had lost so many years ago.
Now, having spent years in study, it is time for him to go out into the world once more to rectify his mistakes and live his life.
~*~ Personality ~*~
Thoughtful and wise for being relativity young. for his folly so many years, he is timid, afraid to try anything with to much or unknown risk. Our hero thinks he can never love again, and that love in dangerous. he avoids it at all costs.
He is not handsome, but he is intelligent.
Also good with his hands and makes many things and new inventions.
~*~ Design ~*~
His coloration (light on bottom, dark on top) is typical of many birds; when one is looked at from below, they blend in with the light sky, and when seen from above, to blend in with the dark ground.
That second belt around his waist is for holding things as well as attaching the second part of his wing skin, it has loops and attachable pockets.
The bracelet on his front leg was given to him be the girl he loved.
The last horn on his left side was broken by his enemy in their duel.
