The brown is called a 'bloody shoulder' marking and its based off a picture I saw of a bay-based grey Thoroughbred filly with it.

I also did another piece without the shoulder marking encase it wasn't liked and to see how it would be without it, it's located just beneath this picture.

Id love to tell. I forget some detail, but otherwise..

No idea on the history but would love to know! I stumbled on a picture of the horse I used for reference when looking over coat patterns and it's the first time I've heard about the marking.
