Patches got his registered name from the riding school he was bred by. He use to always atatck and chase their dalmations. A sight to see XD I got him for my sixth birthday and we have spent to happy and long years together. He used to eb a champion A grae jumper but is now happily retired. The one month my grandmother fell very ill so the wole family went down to Durban to be with her. When we got back we found Patches had been badly treated by the person we had hired to look after our horses. She hadn't groomed them and fed them bearly nothing. Patchie was so neglected that maggots had gotten into his ears and eaten away at bits of the inside. We rushed him and a few other horses to the vet and they cleaned him up and tried to fix his ears. He now has floppy ears, he is partially deaf but is enjoying a spolit retirement on the farm. I don't ride him anymore as he is miles to small but my little cousins adore him and ride every now and then but never hard.
