Crowsfeathers Girl's commission by sparrow8 is a good example, look at the cat. See how some of it's fur is black, and some is blue? The black parts are in shadow, so the artist shaded it. There are many other examples and some don't have as much shading, but the shading is a touch that makes art looks so much better-kind of like Cinderella's glass slippers!
