I used that part to form the main pattern of the wolf, red/orange/yellow splatters.
Where was I, when the rockets came to life
That is also related to the colorful array of splatters, but also is in tune with the neck accessory, with the rocket pendant.

Green: Because of the ''alligator'' theme. Also her eyes are a light pale green.

The rest, I just drew in synch with the theme. I also changed the hairstyle to a more appealing look that is also tied into the theme.
