A Dapple Grey mare peeked at you from behind a snow covered tree. She pawed the snow and whinnied, "Shy one her, Excellent for beginners" Grinned the guide as she handed you the form and a pen. The mare pawed the ground once again.

Horses personality: Shade is very quiet and gentle as a lamb. She always listens to you and is very good for beginner riders. She never bucks. Shade doesn't kick or bite other horses or people. She is very kindly. She loves apple slices.

Dapple was born on a small riding instructing farm but wasn't needed.

She was sold on and she grew up with other horses in this farm. As she grew up, the horses around her were adopted but she was always left behind.

She started to get a little sad that her friends where always taken away.

One day, she whinnies and paws the ground as the guide scratches her neck.

I walked up to the fence and she paws the ground again.

I adopted her and she now shares a paddock with my other horse Misty.
