SHORT story;;
"Good morning Reese!" and eldery voice cried. "Hello Mrs. Harris" Reese replied, pulling out a small stack of papers from her bag. "Here's your mail" she smiled sweetly, handing over the letters. "Thank you dear, have a good day" Mrs. Harris called, heading back into her cave. As Reese turned to walk off, the hard earth floor beneath her began shaking. A loud crash filled her ears and dust blinded her eyes and made it's way into her throat. Dropping her mail bag, Reese began pushing through the debris to find the shattered remains of Mrs. Harris's cave. "Mrs. Harris!" Reese called hopefully, wading through the cracked stone blocks. Spotting a thin, green, tail, a beam of hope spread through Reese as she made her way over. "Mrs. Harris!" Reese cried happily, finding the elderly lime female huddled in the corner of her den remains. "Oh, hello Reese dear" she stuttered nervously. The ground started shaking again and pebbles fell from the low ceiling. "Come on, we have to gt out of here" Reese explained. She turned around, wrapping her tail around the lime one and leading her out, swiping at a small tan package. "Just a little farther" Reese huffed to Mrs. Harris, who was gasping for air after they made it almost halfway out. Pushing on faster, the two females finally made it out of the debris, the remaining cave toppling to the ground. "Oh thank you dear!" Mrs. Harris exclaimed, happiness glinting in her eyes. Grabbing her bag, Reese padded over to the elder, "Here's your mail Mrs. Harris" she said sweetly, handing her a small stack of tan letters.
