Baby griffyns have extremely big hind paws which they use to kick their enemies, and if this doesn't work they turn and peck the enemy's skull with their sharp beaks. *They grow into their paws which eventually look the right size for them.
The older the griffyn gets, the wider their ears are spaced apart. **On the left is a baby griffyn, where you can see that its ears are very close together. On the right is a "teenage" griffyn. It's ears are much further apart. Notice it's beak is also shaped differently. This is because the griffyn's diet changes as it gets older. Baby griffyns have a diet mostly of soft berries & partially digested meat that their parents spit up for them. Older griphyns have a diet mostly of meat and a few berries and nuts.
Hope you enjoyed my little back story.
*I drew my own hind paws for the one on the right, and they turned out looking similar to the front paws.
**This happened because I turned the head in a stupid way and I forgot there was supposed to be a line between the ears. xD but then when I realized it I came up with that story.
