Tribute.. </3

Postby Zeee » Sun Jan 22, 2012 6:35 am

A tribute to the best dog you could ever, ever have in your lifetime. You don't need to read all this nonsense (or it is nonsense to some people), but it would mean so much to me if you did and comment a bit.

Nikki was this dog.

Here are 4 things, out of the many, that she liked. Walks, bones and treats, the outside, and stealing my smoothies. She basically stole anything I drank, but I didn't mind. I loved her. So much, like nothing mattered. And nothing did, when I had Nikki.

She died, when I was about 10, and that was quite a bit about, but I remember her. I remember getting her like it was yesterday. She was just a pup, the most playful you've ever seen.

Nikki was always happy and cheerful, even when I fed her too many treats and got sick. She would sit with me on the couch, watch TV with me until 3:00 am (I didn't go to school at that time and I didn't tell time, so I just kinda stayed up until I was tired), eating- you eating treats, me eating whatever was left in the house.

We weren't exactly what you called a... wealthy family. But we weren't poor, we just didn't have alot of money. No money, at many times. Things were hard.

But then we got Nikki, to spice up our life and have a companion, a guard dog, when my mom was away at work.

Everyone else wanted a different dog than me, some wanted a akita, some a german shepherd, but me?

I wanted Nikki.

Truthfully, when my family came over and saw the connection between me and her, the way she looked at me, my mom knew we needed to get this dog.

From a pup we raised her, she lived a good 6 years and that was long enough for her to grow into a healthy adult. She didn't die of old age, of course.
Nikki was shot.

It hurts me too much to explain what happened, how she got shot, it's even killing me to say sho... it hurts to much.

I loved Nikki like no tomorrow. Someone wanted to take her for a walk? Nope. I always did. I would drop everything to do anything with her.
I would give my life for this dog.

Nikki is truely the most amazing dog you could EVER, EVER have. She always cheered me up when I was down, and it took her almost just one little lick and a smile to do that. I wasn't usually a sad child.

As I said, we weren't exactly wealthy. Poor, at times, you could say. This is a tribute to Nikki. We got a dog just for company, for a guard dog to keep us protected when she was out.
No, Nikki was more than that.

She was mine, and she will forever stay that, in my heart.

I love you Nikki, please... never leave me... </3 Im dying without knowing your in a better place. Your in heaven.
But if that farmer didn't... shoot... you... you'd still be here.

Nikki was my Everything, and she will forever stay that. <3

I feel for you. My puppy was taken away from me, but she didnt die. She was given to my darn grandparents who live 1/4 across the world. They were like "CAN WE HAVE YOUR DOG?!" And I was mad because my parents gave her to them. The last time i saw the puppy, Zoe, was when she was 5. that was a long time ago.
I am so sorry about your dog, I am sure she loves you very much.

Thanks for the support, guys<3
Means alot.

Um, the farmer was drunk, obviously. XD It was nighttime, he couldn't see well, and saw Nikki playing in his sheep. He thought she was a coyote attacking them, and.. yeah, that's how it happened

My dog looks like her. Yet to me he's better then Nikki. No matter what my parents tell me he's older then I am, since we got him when I was 5 (9 and a half now. He's 4 and a half) he'll always be my baby brother!

You're lucky that your beloved dog is only 4 still... mine's double his age.

This broke my heart </3

When I was VERY little, we had a dog named Gretta. She was the sweetest thing ever. When there was a thunderstorm, she would hide in a room. When we got her, my dad didn;t tell my mom. He just said he got a small puppy. NOPE> Gretta was HUGE. My mom freaked out, but Gretta was short hair and didn't shed, and she was trained.I would climb on her (i was a baby) and pet her, and my mom said"no no, baby. don't do that.", but i would still do it, anyway xD Well, I had a really bad sinus infection, and my doctor was on vacation, so we had a sub-doctor to take his place. He said I was allergic to dogs. We ended up giving Gretta away, and turns out I wasn't allergic to dogs. Now she's probaly dead, (probaly of old age) and I never saw her again. The last time I saw her was when I was probaly around the age of 1 or 2 or 3. I miss my baby girl, Gretta </3 (no offense to the doctor but... stupid acting dr.!)

D:
I am so sorry for your loss.
I know you probably hear that a lot but I genuinely mean it.

Just last September we had to put our 6 month old kitten to sleep.
He was an SPCA foster kitten we decided to keep. He was one of the best cats you ever imagine.

He was sweet, loving playful and we had a strong bond. Of cource it was me that just had to keep the one that hid in the corner under the bed. When he was with us he blossomed from a shy, hidding kitten to a friendly out going one.

It was one of the worst days of my life when he was put to sleep. I watched. He died in my mum's arms.

It's the hardest thing to lose one of your fur friends. I miss him every day.
