I've been wondering, how do I get a puppy to calm down and get sleepy when I can't take them outside yet? It's kind of hard when I'm trying to take a nap after being super tired and the puppy jumps up onto me wanting to play around.
How long do you play with him? Training? These will help to tire him out.
I usually play with him for 30 minutes or so since that's what the vet says is best. Should I play with him for longer?

I'd definitely say that, unless he has a medical issue that prevents this otherwise, play with him until he's tired. Most puppies have boundless energy and won't stop moving until you've run out that energy!

I'd also consider some puzzle toys and chewys.

Thanks for answering! I'll take the puzzle toys stuff into consideration. As for the play with him until he's tired thing, I do that all the time but for a puppy who could probably last 2 hours playing, it's kind of hard.

Training can tire dogs and puppies out usually faster then physical exercise. It gets their brains working.
10 minutes of training can tire my dog out where she'd need at least 30 minutes of hard exercise.

Hadn't thought of that! Sounds about right, my dogs are quick learners and they're always more satisfied with learning (or practicing) a new trick or two as opposed to hours of play time. I'd try Day Of Silence's idea, Ritra (and I think I will too. My pup Winston is really smart although independent, so it'll probably take more effort on my part lol.)
Edit/Update: Jesus, he learned "sit" in two minutes. Thats the aussie in him, I guess.

Any advice, guys?
I need to round up some people who are comfortable with me using their children as training aid. Harley has become intensely terrified of children after being chased and beaten by a group of them not far from my home.
Counter conditioning is going well, and we can now walk past them without him freaking out and attempting to bolt. Prior to use working on it he would scream out of fear and vomit while he panicked. Now he walks past but still shakes.
How would you go about fixing this? How would you ask people if they were interested in helping you?

A Large warning to all california dog and cat owners. Bees can be extremely aggressive, even when unprovoked. If you hear your dog yelping or loud thuds against your house, more than likely they are being attacked. Please be attentive to your dogs when they are outside in the yard and take measures of using bee killer spray or calling a exterminator to have your yard and house checked. Enough bee stings can kill a dog of any size. One dog has died and three others are severely injured after a bee attack in Arizona. Three Rotties in Airzona have been killed, leaving one just barely clinging to life, after a killer bee swarm attack in Avondale, AZ. Two dogs dead and owner injured in flordia after bee attack, a puppy dead in Glendale, AZ. Be cautious and check your yard

Please do not use bee killer on the honeybees! There are ways to protect your pets from them without killing them, like calling your local beekeeper. Most beekeepers would be more than happy to come get the bees for you.
Bees are extremely important to our ecosystems all over the world. Of 100 crop species that provide 90% of our global food supply, 71 are bee-pollinated! If the bees go extinct, experts believe that humans wont survive either. So please, pursue other options rather than killing the bees!

Deebee's Wisdom Panel test results came in! I was expecting some terrier due to his hunting behavior, but after looking more into poodles I can see that they can have certain levels of prey drive too. Chihuahua was really not something I expected!

This seems pretty accurate, I think. It's definitely possible for him to have those other breeds and I was definitely expecting poodle.

Looks like I can't call him a terrier/poodle mix anymore. x)
