Bah! I'd rather listen!
What happens your words go after they leave you're gaping throat? Into the void never to be seen or more importantly heard of ever again.

Giggles.
They echoed throughout the hollow hallways, streaming into the ears of the young victim huddled in a corner. Fear in its purest form.
The young Goblin Gator stayed huddled, breath shallow, quick and long pauses between each breath. So that thing wouldn't hear him.
Stay down, stay quiet.
A mantra sung in their head.
More giggles.
Closer.
Louder.
Their breathing deepened, fear strangling their heart and soon it got to the point that the child merely stopped breathing entirelly. Especially when a shadow passed over the far wall.
Giggling.
Heart beats.
That was all they could hear. Their tormentors giggles of pure pleasure, tasting his fear, and their very own heartbeat.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Fast, quick and painful. Their heart feeling like it was going to explode. That, or their heart would leave their body for its own freedom.
The shadow grew larger on the far wall, light scrapping noises entering their ears along with the current mess of sounds.
Please just turn the corner, they begged, go down the other hallway...
The shadow and the scraping noises stopped. The shadow large, grinning and looking like it was about to pounce and bite their head clean off their shoulders. The eyes glowing, watching their fear in pure happiness.
A head turned to corner.
Eyes instantly locked with their own.
Their heartbeat finally stopped it's ruckus, stopped calling the beast to them...
And never made a sound again...
Well, until the larger goblin gator giggled and shook her head. " Silly, you shouldn't be down this hall! Who knows what monsters might eat you up! Anyway, you mother is looking for you, she asked me to fetch you after you wondered off!" she said, her voice slightly distorted and disturbing.
The child stared at them, confusion filling their eyes. " Miss Talis? " they weakly muttered.
Talis tilted her head. A 'hmmmm?' of confusion slipping past her lips. " Why are you so shaken up little one? Did you get lost and scared in these halls? " she questioned.
" N-no miss Talis...I just...I thought you were the monster I saw...the one with all those teeth and eyes...the one that tried to... " their voice trailed off, fearing gripping them before Talis' laughter ripped through the air.
" Oh silly! There are no monsters here! Now come along before you mother get's even more worried! "
With that, the two walked down the maze-like hallways before pushing past a door into a cute little one-room shop.
However, as the child left with their mother once being returned, they swore from one of the windows near the back of the old house there was a monster.
A monster with many teeth and eyes.
Watching them and slowly, ever so slowly, raising a clawed, decayed hand, and waved goodbye.
