Name origin: Named for the Indonesian volcano Mt. Tambora, which had the most powerful and most destructive eruption in recent history.
Nickname: Bor
Age: 360
Rank: Nomad/Pride Member; Tamboro can never decide on what his rank actually is. He lives in solotude because his element is so powerful and destructive, however, he still wants to help when he can and occasionally functions as a normal pride member.
Element: Lava
Gender: Male
Personality: Tamboro's personality is much like the mountain he is named for. He is normally calm and laid back, however his temper can change in an instant. Due to his element being a rare one, he was not properly trained, making him lack control over his element. Whenever his emotions change so does his control. When he's angry, he creates explosive erruptions. The glow on his shoulders and his fur also changes with his mood. During times of intense emotion his shoulder glow will appear and his fur will start to simmer. His fur in unusually short because of this.
History: His element and short temper has always been a problem for Tamboro. Because there aren't many lava lions, Tamboro had to have two trainers, a fire elemental and a water elemental, since lava is like liquid fire. Originally he was trained as a warrior because of his powerful element, but after many devastating battles where both sides suffered from his lack of control, Tamboro retired to be a nomad. His father and mother were the same elements as his mentors, fire and water. They we're an older couple when Tamboro was born, but they loved him dearly. Sadly they died of old age while Tamboro was still in training. It was catastrophic when he found out. The sudden feeling of sadness, aloneness and rage all culminated to him causing a massive explosion where he stood.
It was a day like any other, Tamboro was at his trainers, far off from the pride lands in case he lost control. "Come on Tamboro! Pretend it's water!" His one mentor said, while the other chimed in: "but don't forget to control the heat!" Tamboro was working on a controlling a flow of lava, their advise worked a little, but they didn't understand how lava worked or felt, it wasn't like water or fire. Tamboro got lost in his thoughts causing the lava to cool and harden, he sighed, "I'm taking a break..." He said before walking off while his mentors huddled together to discuss new training methods. As I headed to get something to drink, we had a sudden visitor. It was a winged messenger. "Im here to see Tamboro." she said quietly. "Thats me." i respoded and strode over. The messenger glanced at me, her eyes fulled with concern and fear, "Whats wrong?" he asked stopping, sensing something bad was about to happen. She turned toward me but didnt meet my eyes, "I'm regret to inform you that your most honored parents have passed away." Tamboro felt his stomach and heart drop and he stood there looking stunned, "Wha.... What do you mean?" he asked, there was a slight rumble in the ground and fear swept across the other three lions faces, "Th-they died in their sleep." she said, "Im so sorry Tamboro." Tamboro's legs felt weak, there was a slight sizzling sound as a tear rolled down his face, "Th-they're gone?" he said, the ground shaking more violently. "C-calm down, Tamboro," his water instructor said, "It's ok." "They cant have.." Bor said shaking his head, "No. NO! They cant be gone they cant be!!" the ground began to split open, glowing orange from deep within the earth. "No no no they cant have left me..." the three lions began to back away, he was losing control. "No theyre not gone!" with that, lava and magma erupted from the cracks in the ground causing a massice explosion. THe other three lions fled for their lives, leaving the emotionally unstable cub alone. Once they were gone, Tamboro let out an enormous roar of rage ans sadness, causing one final explosion. He had created a massive crater with a lake of lava around him. He sat their for days, as he wept over the loss of his only family.
Extra: His fangs are longer than a normal lions but not so long that they protrude from his mouth.
