❀ defiance.
❀ anthurium's heart // asha
❀ her name is based off of this flower
❀ mare
❀ surprise me
❀ good
personality:
asha is good. a lot of words can describe her, and a lot of those words would be accurate too; protective, intelligent, warm- but the overlapping element the word 'good' has fits her like a puzzle piece does a puzzle. just because she's good, though, doesn't mean she lacks an iron backbone and a fierce willpower. she's not submissive, she fights for what she believes in, and she works hard to keep her moral compass in check. sometimes, on her bad days, she'll stray outside of her box, but she tries her hardest to stay good and pure and untainted by the blackness of the world. she protects those she loves in any way possible- though she tries to keep violence on the down low. she refuses to give up on anybody, and believes that no matter how many chances you may have had, you're never too far gone. she'll be a friend if you need one, she'll be your sight for sore eyes when you're lost and down, and she'll be there for anyone who needs her to, no matter what they may have done to her, or the kind of person or horse they've proven themselves to be.
relationship with undyne
asha has a love hate relationship with undyne. he's one of her parents, and she'll always harbor love for him, but she feels like they're not the same. they've never been exceptionally close, and maybe part of this is because asha is always away- exploring the world and adventuring on her own, but she thinks partially it's because neither of them have put in the effort to become as close as he may be with her siblings. she has never thought of undyne as evil, she doesn't even think of her skeleton-marked siblings as evil, despite the fact that their souls may be rotting, but she never thought of him as good either. she's not one to give up on anybody, because the terms 'good' and 'evil' are so arbitrary and open for perception, and they're so unbelievably limiting it's hard to breathe when you're pegged as one or the other. she doesn't think anyone or anything that has a conscious is inherently good or inherently evil. they are, as the saying goes, human. of course asha is not technically a part of the human species, but a complicated nature of both good and evil is often most closely associated with humans. she thinks they should be associated with everything. she has the capacity to be evil, just like she thinks undyne does, and she also has the capacity to be good. if she had to peg her father as one or the other, she would think that he would fall closer to the evil category. as far as she can tell, she gets her protective streak from him, but there's something about him that screams unhealthy dominance and dictatorship and 'no room for compromise'. perhaps she's being too stereotypical, by pegging intimidating on those who are considered evil, but it's something she can't help. maybe it's because she's never seen herself as particularly intimidating. she hopes that maybe one day she'll grow closer to her father, or that they'll be able to kindle a strong relationship with one another, and while she remains optimistic, she doesn't know if it's possible. she won't give up though, she never would. there's something dissatisfying about admitting defeat, and though kindling a true father-daughter relationship with undyne would be quite a bridge to cross, she believes with every fibre of her being that they can do it.
parent you'll be breeding undyne to
Sundown
relationship with other parent
asha may say that she's distant from her father, but she's even more distant from her other father, sundown. it's not that they don't have anything in common, it's not that at all, but she's never actually seen sundown as a fatherly figure, or someone she can turn to without hesitation. she hasn't given up on their relationship, but she doesn't think it'll ever cross into the territory of father-daughter. she loves sundown, in the sense that she would love any parents of hers, but she distances herself from him even more so than undyne. she's never admitted this to herself, but something about parents make her uneasy. she doesn't understand it, but ever since she was a filly it was the way it felt. maybe it's the power they hold, the air of authority- she doesn't know. all she knows is that they hardly seem like the same species to her sometimes. she tends to hang out with sundown more than she does undyne, but they don't bone. they coexist with each other, they even share a few laughs every now and then. their relationship is much more closer to being that of friends than a father and daughter. asha is sometimes troubled by her lack of parental attachments, though she rarely shows it. She thinks it's for the better, because her life and her values are such delicate things. she doesn't need them getting disrupted by outside forces, like her parents, that she cannot control.
your relationship with the foal
there's something about asha that unnerves me. i can't quite put my finger on why that is, i think she has a heart of solid gold and is about the kindest creature i've ever come across, but there's something unearthly to her goodness. i almost want to say angelic, but because my worst fear is being cheesy when talking about something i hold as dear as her, i'll think of better way to explain it. she's no an angel, she's too fierce for that. but she's fierce in this way that's gentle all at the same time. she'd protect anyone she loves with fire and blood, and she would bring about the destruction of this world for them if she had to, i guarantee it, but it's in the way she looks at you, with those soulful eyes- you can tell she doesn't love death, or destruction. you can tell she loves and she learns and she takes this world in stride and she tries so hard to stay true to herself and to her moral compass that sometimes it looks like it's tearing her apart on the inside. sometimes, it makes me sad, to see her like that. i don't think she even realizes it yet. i know she's just a horse, they're always just a horse, and you can tell me all you want that she doesn't feel like humans do, or understand like we do, but she does. i can see it. there's something deeper to her than just a horse. i don't know if she cares about me in the same way that i care about her, or if she appreciates me like i do her, but i hope so. i can tell with the way that she interacts with the other trainers and the other horses that she's compassionate, i don't think she'd step on a fly on purpose, but like i said- there's something almost unnerving about it all. i hope that she does know i care for her though, she doesn't seem to have a lot of people or horses that she's close with. i think that might be the thing, you know. she's so friendly, she's so warm, she's so protective and compassionate towards everything, but nothing ever returns that same love for her. i can tell. i think behind her soulful eyes there's loneliness. and again, i don't think she even realizes it yet.

Name: Scared Of The Dark? //
    "Kaleo"

    Name Meaning: Scared Of The
Dark? is meant to represent the
    fear of darkness, which many
don't have, only the fear of what
    hides in the darkness. Kaleo
means shattered glass, and is a
unique name as it is, fitting this
    stallion who could be considered
glass. Glass can only withstand so
much before it shatters, and the
same can usually be said for people,
even tolters like Kaleo. He might
have been good at one point in his
life, but he has been shattered, and
once something shatters, it can never
be the same as it was before.

    Gender: Stallion

    Halter Color: Something like his
father's, maybe, but at the same
    time different.

Good or evil?: Evil

Personality: Kaleo is definitely
no angel. He is a malicious soul
who has on numerous times been
mistaken for the reincarnation of
Satan himself. While they're not
far off, he's still a bit away from
being Satan. He is merciless, but
on rare occasions does show
compassion, like the human in
him is trying to fight its way
free to the surface. Unfortunately,
the darkness has always won so
far, no matter how hard the
goodness tries. It just goes to show
you that goodness doesn't always
defeat evil, no matter what those
Disney movies tell you. Kaleo is
courageous and brave, but he does
not use it in any heroic ways. No,
instead, he goes out of his way
risking his life to cause pain to
others. Beware on Halloween, for
that is when he strikes hardest.

Relationship with Undyne: There's no pretty way to put this; Kaleo is Undyne's servant. He worships the ground his sire walks on and hopes to one day be exactly like Undyne. His sire didn't trust anyone to teach Kaleo the ways of being evil, so he taught him himself. Learning directly from Undyne and having no dam in his childhood, he wasn't brought up in the typical way that a foal normally is. Undyne and Kaleo have a special relationship, which isn't your typical "father and son bonding". They go and bring misery and suffering to others' lives, sometimes even destroying them just for the fun of it. If Kaleo is lucky, sometimes his sire will teach him a few tips and tricks about what he does, which helps Kaleo become a bit more like him.

Parent You'll Be Breeding Undyne To: ghost queen.'s Mayday

Relationship with other parent: Kaleo isn't too fond of his dam, as from what his sire said, she just "dropped him at his sire's hooves and left, not a word said in-between". But for some odd reason, he can't get rid of her, aside from the reason that his sire would kill him if he did. He could easily blame the disappearance of his dam on one of his sire's minions, but a microscopic piece of him hopes, even wishes, that one day his dam will come back for him, and that maybe, just maybe, he'd be able to meet her and form a bond with her. He sees dams and their foals all over, and he can't help but wish that he could have had that life, instead of all the pain and destruction his life is.

Your Relationship with the Foal: Kaleo isn't very fond of me, but the same could be said about most humans. He sees us as worthless peasants who deserve all the misery and suffering we can get. Harsh, right? On most days, even that isn't enough for him. Seeing himself as royalty, he doesn't think I own him. To him, it's the other way around and he owns me. I play along with it for his sake, but I'm hoping maybe one day he'll see otherwise. Wishful thinking on my part.

Username;; "Vinson is what they call my owner."
Name;; "Lilies In The Moonlight, although I'd much prefer if you just called me Lily."
The Meaning Behind It;; "I suppose my markings must have inspired the name, though I'm not sure. Father seems to shine like the moon, so maybe he named me after himself in a way. I am his Lily, blossoming under his moonlight."
Gender;; "I'm a mare, and don't you even think of calling me anything else."
Halter Color;; "Oh. Well, it's like a lily, I suppose. The whole thing is white except for a few specks of golden orange and light brown here and there, and very simple. It's pleasing to look at, if I do say so myself."
Good or evil?;; "Why, I'm one of the good ones, of course! Can you not see the flowers that lace my body?"
Personality;; "I-I don't know. I'm not very good at describing myself, you see..."
"She's odd," most would put simply, after taking a glance or two at her. "She gives off a certain aura. A strange one. Vinson can even hold a conversation with her," they would continue on, their eyes taking in the flowers that lace her body, not even giving her a chance to make a good impression. Her father is evil, so she must be as well, right? Absolutely not. Lily is one of the kindest, most caring mares you will ever meet, her patience unwavering, her calmness a bit unnerving. She knows that she's seen as a freak, an oddball, a strange one, sometimes even dangerous. But she's not, and many people just assume. Assume she's cruel and cold-hearted, assume she's the most vicious creature on the planet. They're wrong, and oh, how wrong they are. She's a bit self conscious because of the name calling, the bullying, the cruel curling of a lip and growl of malice she's gotten so many times. The few who have truely gotten to know this mare know that she's their best friend for life, their rock, the one they turn to for advice and comfort. Even with daddy, she's his little sweetheart, never putting a hoof out of place, swishing her tail to and fro as he calls her beautiful, his sunshine, his princess, daddy's little girl. The faintest blush will rise to her cheeks, her eyes looking downwards as she nervously drags a hoof along the ground. "Oh, I don't know," she might murmur. "That's not what everyone else calls me..." "Lily, dear, you're my beautiful little princess, and don't you ever think anything other than that. You are the prettiest mare I've set eyes on, my dear, and whenever anyone calls you a name, just think of daddy. Daddy will always be here for you, no matter what." And then she might leave with a new confidence, back to Vinson, her herd, and maybe one more tolter to call a friend, an ally.
Relationship with Undyne;; "I love my daddy, and he loves me as well. Yes, he usually pays more attention to his evil children, but I suppose I'm special. I'm the youngest of the six of us, and I guess...I guess he still sees me as his little filly. He lingers around me just a bit longer than the others, makes sure I'm doing good, and never fails to make me feel like the filly I once was. When my owner claimed me, he seemed sad, troubled even. He didn't seem to do that with my siblings. In his eyes, I think I'm still but a tiny little foal, my legs still wobbly, eyes still adjusting to the light, funny little face twisting my lips. Nothing can break daddy's heart, but as I grew up, he seemed to become different. His little girl has grown up, and I don't think he's fully come to realize that yet."
Parent You'll Be Breeding Undyne To;; "My other father's name is Trael, though I rarely see him." Eulee's Trael
Relationship with other parent;; "Like I said, I don't see father much. I'm usually with daddy, but of course I still love father. He's a bit clumsy, yes, and a regular tolter. He loves on me nearly as much as daddy does, but it's...different, in a way. He doesn't know how to make me feel like a filly, how to set off a fit of giggles, how to bring back memories I had deemed unimportant until that moment. He makes me smile, and I can feel the flutter in my heart as I see him. The flutter of love in my heart, yes. Daddy knows how to make me feel young, while father treats me as an adult. Of course, I still love him dearly."
Your Relationship with the Foal;; "Vinson? Oh. He's nice, yes, and he treats me like a princess - of which I suppose I am, daddy being so special and all. He's always there to comfort me after some tolter marks me out as different, as a freak, which is often. I love the way his hands can soothe all of my troubles as they run along my neck, tickle my withers, trace the flowers. Many of my siblings think of their owners as below them, simple creatures who do not deserve the right of being obeyed, but mine...he's different, and I'm glad he is. He doesn't force me into things, doesn't hurt me, or call me names. He treats me as an equal, sometimes even as a superior. He appreciates me, and I appreciate him."

Nightmare's silence can be quite disturbing and dreadful. She has an aurora of maliciousness about her, yet once you get to know her a little, she can be quite a fun mare. She has a weird sense of humor about her and can turn the most terrible things into a joke. She has a love of jokes that most people find unsettling. Or this joke, she always gets a crack out of this one "why did the bat cross the cave? To get to the other side." A joke like that could have her laughing for ten minutes, not kidding. Night can be very sarcastic, and she can yell a lot when it comes to someone giving up. She mocks and belittles others often, though not entirely on purpose. Though when it comes to her friends, she will do anything she can to help them and can give out great advice. Nightmare is often called Night by her friends. She loves things that are creepy and anything creepy. Nightmare has a weird fascination with spiders and bats, and she could answer almost any question that you ask her if it is about spiders and bats. Night wants to live a life of freedom, not of popularity. She loves the feel of the unknown and going on not knowing will come next, turning blind corners. While most tolters and for the matter most people are afraid of heights, she is quite the opposite, she loves the feel of looking over the ledge of a tall mountain and feeling the freedom of not being restrained or held back by some safety thing.

Image
Nightmare loves both of her parents. Night's relationship with Endyne is okay, he has taught her a lot of things, but some of them are not necessarily good things to be taught. And he has always told her and repeated this quote until she has memorized it inside and out: "In order to be created, a work of art must first make use of the dark forces of the soul." She sometimes think that he is trying to bring out the evil in her and can be a little too evil for her. She loves the silent way of him and how he knows almost everything and she wishes that she could be a little more like him. Night thinks that Endyne king is not very fun, he's always so straight forward and not as funny as gator. Though Endyne may seem not that good, he is actually a pretty good tolter. He has taught her a lot about standing up for what she believes in and not giving up. He taught her about how some secrets are meant to be kept as a secret and some...well...not so much.
Image
Gator
Image
Night loves gator too. Hes, her father, she loves both of her fathers. Though she is not as rambunctious and a rule-breaker like he is, he's always getting in trouble for something. Gator is very much a trouble maker and trouble always comes with him. Night does not really like rambunctious and a rule-breaker gator is. She prefers not getting in trouble and not breaking rules. Though I think Night may have gotten the love for jokes and the sarcasm a little from gator and they love to play jokes on each other all the time that will, either way, leave Night laughing for ten minutes straight.
Image
"Our Bond Will Last a Lifetime"
She and I are pretty well bonded already. Though Night can be a bit weird at times. She can also be a good little filly at times, but she can become a little like gator: rambunctious. You can be her best of friend or she can be your worse nightmare, so I try to keep on her good side at times. She loves me for sticking it through with her when times got tough, though she won't admit it. Night may seem all rough and tough at first, but once you get to know her a little she really is a nice mare, though her jokes can get a little out of hand and annoying after a while. I, myself do not like spiders, but on the other hand night loves them. She's even for a few laughs sneaked up behind me in the pasture and stuck a spider on my head, boy does she get a kick out of that! Me on the other hand runs around the pasture screaming like my head is cut off.

[The Renegade Prince] [Tolter #3973]

✧ ────────── ✧

One track mind,
one track heart.
If I fail, I'll fail apart.
Maybe it is all a test,
because I feel like I'm the worst
so I always act like I'm the best.

If you are not very careful,
your possessions will possess you.
TV taught me how to feel,
now real life has no appeal.
It has no appeal, it has no appeal,
it has no appeal, it has no appeal.

I'm gonna live, I'm gonna fly;
I'm gonna fail, I'm gonna die.

I know exactly what I want
and who I want to be;
I know exactly why I walk
and talk like a machine.
I'm now becoming my own
self-fulfilled prophecy,
oh, oh no, oh no,
oh no.

I just wanna change,
I just wanna.... change?

"There is someone who seeks to attain my trust?"
My username is SpartanAmethyst, but the one in need of hope is Victoria.

nämë:
"A name is a demon's greatest weakness."
Most don't take the time to learn his name; most call him "Nephilim", the unholy spawn born of an angel and a demon. But for the exceedingly rare who look past his monstrous exterior, they find his name quite.... normal. He chose the name Gilen.
The name is a variant spelling of the Teutonic name Gillen, which means "resolute fighter".

ġëndër:
"Do not bore me with such trivial matters."
Gilen is undeniably a stallion; born genderless, he developed his organs within the first sixth months. Though he has them, he was born with the inability to mate normally. Which is fine with him, since in his mind he feels no love nor desire. He "doesn't need such unimportant emotions", he says; though it apparently is true for sexual desire and the need to mate, even if a nearby mare is in heat. Though as for love, well, that's quite a different story....

hältër ċölör:
"The mystery is half the fun..."
Surprise me; theme it with the design and the word "nephilim".

✧ ────────── ✧

I am not afraid of the
storm that comes my way;
when it hits it shakes me
to the core and makes
me stronger than before.

It's not a question about trust,
but will you stand with us?

Can you feel it?
Make it real.

I think it might wash away tonight,
awaken from this never-ending fight.
It takes more than meets the eye;
this war we're fighting is not just rotting.

There's a rumble in the floor,
so get prepared for war.
When it hits it'll knock you to the ground
when it shakes up everything around.

But survival is a must,
so will you stand with us?

Can you feel it?
Make it real.
(Make me feel it.)

I think it might wash away tonight,
awaken from this never-ending fight.
It takes more than meets the eye;
this war we're fighting is not just rotting.

Hey-o,
here comes the danger up in this club.
When we get started
and we ain't gonna stop,
we're gonna turn it up till it gets too hot.
Everybody sing "Hey-O",
Tell 'em turn it up till they can't no more,
lets get this thing shaking like a disco ball.
This your last warning,
a Courtesy Call.

ċhösën päïrïnġ:
"Undyne says to be proud of his half of my lineage, but I'm not. I guess I neglect that pride like he neglected me."
Image x Image
I've chosen to pair Undyne with my Tolter stallion Gabriel to create a Nephilim foal.

ġööd ör ëvïl?:
"I began as evil, but turned for the faded light."
When Gilen was born, his soul was just as black as his father's. He was the smallest of all of his siblings, but in the beginning, he was no doubt the meanest. It was to be expected, really; if he hadn't been so mean, then he'd never gotten his own share of resources and attention due to his size. He would have eventually starved to death or been trampled. So Gilen grew up mean and hateful, with a bad attitude and a whip-like tongue to match. He spat on anyone he didn't like, and that was pretty much everybody. The only one he didn't dare was his father. While he didn't play tricks or pranks, nor did he seek to make others lives a living hell, he was more of the passive mean. For example, if you were blocking his path (whether purposefully or accidentally) he would quite literally push or kick you out of the way without so much as a second thought. He wanted a toy you were already playing with? Too bad. He'd take it, and spill your blood if he had to. But unlike his siblings he did not retain such a burning hatred; when his siblings began to show more potential than he, it didn't matter how mean Gilen could get. He became nothing but a burden in his father's eyes, never doing anything right, so he left. When he did, he managed to meet his sire by fate, and there he saw the value in doing good. Though it was and always will be difficult for him to be "good" because of his raising, he definitely tries.

përsönälïtÿ:
"Ah, my worst quality. I shall prepare for your departure."
There's no doubt that Gilen is a beautiful horse; they say the best things in life are sinful, yes? But his personality betrays his beautiful exterior in many, many ways. The horse you see on the outside is very different from the one that dwells within. Gilen is best described as a tidal pool; he can be deep and dark, but in the right conditions, eddies can become miniature whirlpools that can suck you down to your death.
Quiet: Even as a foal, Gilen mainly kept to himself. He preferred his own company than that of his siblings or anyone/anything else. Often times he would even tire of his father's presence as well, and would eventually move off for some alone time. When he was a foal, though, he could still be quite vocal; particularly when he was about to get into a scuffle, or when he was in a bad mood, or even just when he felt like it. Age brought on the overwhelming silence he now lives under. Usually it's by choice, but there are times when he just unconsciously shuts everyone out and recedes into the darkness of his mind. Gilen very much prefers actions to words, so be very careful in your interactions; often times he won't give any warning that you're making him angry. He might just decide a bite will let you know.
Stubborn: Okay, "stubborn" is the nice way to put it. Gilen is the type of stallion that has to come to the conclusion instead of being corrected or told. Only he can change the way he does things, which can make him difficult to live with. But once he does trust you enough, you can start to show him better ways to do things or live by, and he may adopt them as his own. This is how Victoria and Gabriel are teaching him how to assimilate into a normal, much happier life. One that doesn't involve all the meanness and hatred Undyne instilled in him.
Loyal: Though it's difficult for Gilen to trust and agree to fall in behind a set "leader", when he does, his loyalty knows no bounds. Though he was taught differently by Undyne, the knight can't deny his own personality. When he finally does choose to place his trust in someone, no matter how small the amount, it is a very big deal and should not be taken lightly in the slightest. Because should you ever break that trust, you'll never even earn another glance from him. If he lets you live, that is.
Aggressive: Despite his calm exterior, Gilen definitely has some anger issues. Quick to get frustrated and snap, the stallion lacks any kind of patience whatsoever. If things don't go his way he can lash out at anyone whom he deems responsible for the unfavorable outcome. He's more likely to threaten than compliment you, and any compliments he does give are often in the forms of sarcasm. Gilen is very possessive of anything he deems his; one of the effects of being born the runt of a massive family. He grew up literally fighting for what he needed or wanted, so as an adult, he's more apt to fight you than ask nicely.
Insecure: A surprising personality trait, right? All of Gilen's negative personality stems from this one trait. Born the youngest and smallest of eight siblings, Gilen was born insecure about his ability to live up to Undyne's expectations and become the perfect soldier. It both positively and negatively affected Gilen; positively, it pushed him to be faster, stronger, and work harder to beat his siblings in skills and strengths. Negatively, it made him paranoid and doubt his own decisions, to the point where he would second guess himself and ultimately fail in the endeavor. In the beginning he was able to mask it and power through, but as he got older is when it got bad, and the rift began to build between him and Undyne.

It starts with pain,
followed by hate,
fueled by the
endless questions
no one can answer.
A stain covers
your heart,
tears you apart
just like a
sleeping cancer.

I don't believe men
are born to
be killers,
I don't believe
the world can't
be saved.
How did you get here
and when did it start?
An innocent child,
with a thorn in
his heart.

What kind of world
do we live in,
when love is
divided by hate?
Losing control
of our feelings,
we all must be
dreaming this life away,
in a world so cold.

Are you sane?
Where is the shame?
A moment of time
passes by,
you cannot rewind
who's to blame.
Where did it start?
Is there a cure
for your sickness,
have you no heart?

I don't believe men
are born to
be killers,
I don't believe
the world can't
be saved.
How did you get here
and when did it start?
An innocent child,
with a thorn in

What kind of world

when love is

Losing control
of our feelings,
we're dreaming

in a world so cold.

What kind of world
do we live in,
when love is
divided by hate?
Selling our souls
for no reason,
we all must be
dreaming this life away,
in a world so cold.

There's a sickness inside
you that wants to escape;
it's a feeling you get
when you can't
find your way.
So how many times
must you fall to
your knees?
Never, ever,
never do this again.

It starts with pain,
followed by hate...

I don't believe men
are born to

I don't believe

What kind of world

ündÿnë's rëlätïönshïp wïth ġïlën:
"What once was a powerful bond has long since withered and died."
Gilen and Undyne used to be as inseparable as the moon and the stars. Right by his side, Gilen strode to be the perfect example of what Undyne wanted in a soldier. While he was blinded by that all-consuming need to be perfect in the Tolter's eyes, all was well with the world. It wasn't until his insecurities began to seep through that Gilen realized it didn't matter how good he got; because of his lack of confidence he'd always make mistakes, and Undyne would continue to look more on his other bone-laden siblings. Once that fact became apparent, Gilen got tired of being overlooked and neglected by his "more capable" evil siblings. He had always been the underdog, since he was the smallest foal born to Undyne. More than just a runt, he was actually born slightly premature but managed to survive. Gilen left home as soon as he was old enough, and took off out into the world to find a different niche that he could be happy in. Eventually Gilen met his sire Gabriel and began to find a better way of living.

ġäbrïël's rëlätïönshïp wïth ġïlën:
"With the angel? Well, that's a bridge still being built."
Gilen's relationship with Gabriel is... strained, to say the least. Different lifestyles, different raisings, sometimes opposing morals, everything can collide like white fire and arctic water. But thankfully Gabriel's has endless patience and can handle all of Gilen's highs and lows in stride. Gabriel adores the son he didn't realize he had, and though he often doesn't show it outright, the angel cares so deeply for Gilen that should anything ever happen to the Nephilim, it would probably kill the appaloosa marked stallion. Gilen is learning to love his sire, and already he feels a deep bond with him in just the short time they've been together. Though yes it gets rough, Gabriel and Gilen choose to tough it out in the hopes of a better tomorrow, where they can coexist perfectly. After all, it just takes practice.

mÿ rëlätïönshïp wïth ġïlën:
"The ranch owner? She's okay for a human, I guess."
Gilen and my relationship is at best neutral. Still stuck in his old ways half of the time, the stallion dislikes most humans and would rather just not be around them. With me it's much the same, but at least we have a mutual respect for each other. He permits me to care for him is Victoria's absence, mainly just feeding and moving him between stall and pasture, and every so often we might have a small window of bonding. But as a whole, he's the extreme side of a "one-girl horse"; Victoria is his light and his love, and is the only one his heart truly belongs to. I doubt anyone else will ever be able to do what she does with him.

vïċtörïä's rëlätïönshïp wïth ġïlën:
"We're all a little broken, but broken crayons can still color."
Their song: Be Somebody by Thousand Foot Krutch.
The bond between Victoria and Gilen is a healing one; they help smooth each others' flaws, and accept the cracks left by the past that can't be fixed. Put simply, one cannot exist without the other. It's a symbiotic relationship necessary for them both to live with a chance at both peace and happiness. They are each other's life and joy; each other's rocks during the tempests than plague them. Victoria and Gilen seem to understand each other on a very, very deep level, almost to the point of telekinesis. They need no tack or restraints, nothing to control the other besides their shared trust. It's very close to the bond shared between Amethyst and her Nordanner Pompeii; the only difference is the rough past the Tolter and girl share.

thë päst:
"The beginning of something, but I'm not so sure it's beautiful."
From the day Gilen was born, he wanted nothing more than to be Undyne's favorite.
Obedient and dutiful, he sought to prove that even though he was born small, he would be the fastest and strongest out of the foals. He got up first every morning and trained, then went to bed last after an evening training. Such was his life from the time he turned 6 months up until he turned two years old, when the real training began. Up until this time, he'd been doing exceptionally well, and had eventually grown to be a healthy size. Through fighting for status and training every day, he'd shown Undyne that he was still a contender. But at two, his insecurities began to eat away at his confidence. He began to second guess himself and make mistakes in his missions and training; eventually Gilen began to notice his other siblings were garnering more and more of Undyne's attention, leaving him with none. So he made what at the time seemed like a stupid decision: he left. He was independent and resourceful, clever and intelligent. He'd do fine on his own. So, one evening, under the night's darkened veil, Gilen left his birth home and melted into the shadows, never to come back. In the end this proved to be the best option for him, because only a few short weeks later he stumbled upon an oddly familiar appaloosa stallion. It was his sire, the arcTolter Gabriel, who had sought him out.

thë prësënt:
"How can you love someone you've never met?"
It had been a cool summer evening that Gilen had found himself alone in his sanctuary. A large cavern overlooking an underground lake spanned before him, and an opening above the water's center gave a beautiful albeit small view of the night sky and the moon spinning away. The white lilies growing around the water's edge seemed to glow as well, their pure white petals reflecting the moon's gorgeous glow. The stallion stood calmly, ears tipped softly to the side as his consciousness drifted in and out of sleep's welcome grasp. It wasn't until he heard the tired crunch of footsteps approaching his hiding place that his mind sharpened, and Gilen turned to face the intruder. Gabriel had left some time ago, and wasn't due to be back until morning. So who was this? The nephilim's ears pinned automatically when he glimpsed a humanoid figure approach, and Gilen prepared himself to lunge...
But why couldn't he do it? He was more than ready to attack this human- girl, actually- and send her running for her life. But something kept his hooves glued to the ground and he couldn't figure out what. Lost in the thoughts swimming in his head, Gilen watched as she noticed him and startled. Her wide earthen eyes were so vibrant, and her black hair was short with a streak of red. He hated to admit it, but she was quite pretty for a human. Suddenly there was a pressure on his nose; had he missed something? Yes, yes he had. This human girl was touching him, softly stroking his left nostril with the tip of her thumb. He wanted to lash out, to force her away. He was royalty! And she was- no, she wasn't scum. The first time his fiery red eyes met hers, he could see himself and his hurt mirrored there. She was the same as him: lost, alone, and scared. As his inner monologue continued, Gilen began to relax into her touch, and soon the two were laid on the ground, Victoria resting securely under his head. How had she managed to slip past his aggression without even trying? Looking down at her now, he gave an exasperated sigh and rolled his crimson orbs; it was too late now. This was a human he would just have to put up with for the forseeable future; and, secretly, he didn't mind one bit.

thë fütürë:
"words."
Once Gilen had learned to trust Victoria, his ife began to improve in leaps and bounds instead of tiny steps. Though he still dislikes most humans, with Victoria around he's much more docile. Gabriel led them to Amethyst Ridge Ranch, where Amethyst agreed to take in the 19-year-old runaway and Gilen as well, under the agreement that they'd pull their own weight around the ranch. And so it was, that Gilen and Victoria had found a home and began to adjust to the new world around them. It's difficult at times, but things just seem to keep improving with each bit of work they put into fitting in. Eventually Victoria would like to turn Gilen into a competition horse and compete in shows; much to his chagrin, the human girl thinks he has the potential to be a champion. Outwardly he scoffs, of course, but internally he can't help but feel that same feeling as with Undyne all those years ago. The only difference? He knows he can trust Victoria, completely and without a doubt.
