Batpaw heard Sunnygaze call for the two. Pausing in his sharpening, the ebony tom flickered his ears. He could hear Petalpaw mewing, and could clearly make out the mollies conversation from there. After a few moments of complete and utter stillness, the blind tom stood. How we do in the field, hm? Is this a quiz? Once he was sure the mollies were done talking, the petite ebony tom made his way over and sat before Sunnygaze, simply dipping his head rather so than speaking. I must hear every detail of this quiz- chattering away will do nothing to help me.

"I know you have no interest in being the deputy..." I started, breaking the silence between us with my soft meow."So i was hoping you could help me decide on the two best warriors for the job....i will make the final decision later on my own, but i wouldn't mind some help to get me started." I purred, nudging Silverclaw gently with my shoulder before letting a comfortable silence fall again, our paws sending soft green leaves fluttering here and there occasionally. Its so peaceful out here, i should get away from the camp and take walks like these more often..i would give me a chance to think about my father and getting back at him.. I gave a contented sigh, breathing in the fresh scent of new-leaf all around me.

"Ah, Batpaw!" Sunnygaze called, walking up to him. She licked the top of his head kindly, then turned to face the two.

"Alright. We're going to walk around and collect herbs. No pressure," she assured. "I'm not going to make the decision based on who knows the most. I'm going to make it on whose personality has the best fit. Being a medicine cat is hard. You have to put the clan's needs ahead of your own, all of the time." She began to walk towards the camp entrance. "And you're playing with live ammo. If you make a mistake, someone could die. So there's a lot of pressure."

"Ooh, yes. Of course," he said. He didn't want to be deputy, he knew it would be too much pressure for him. "Is there a front-runner? There's a lot to consider. You want someone who's strong, a good leader, but also someone who gets along with his clanmates."

the brown tom silently lay in the warrior's den, his tail curled, tightly around his muscular build. rumbleclaw's golden eyes opened, stepping out of the den, stretching his limbs out, his lips parting in a yawn. as he looked around, his eyes landed on the fresh-kill pile. he huffed, noticing it was a bit short on prey. his ears were up tall, trying to see if anyone was going to set out on a hunting patrol. rumbleclaw flicked his long, brown tail.

dewpaw lightly sighed as her friends walked off to train. she knew the training was important for them to be chosen to be medicine cat apprentice, but now she just was left in her mind. her head lay down on the green grass, closing her blue eyes.

her ears perked up tall, her tail puffing up large. she gave a hiss in return, ears pinned back. "i'm cookie, my humans live in the home behind me." she said, slashing her tail, behind her, back arched in fear. the she-cat didn't have any skills in fighting, there was no way she could take this cat. "now my turn to ask questions, who are you, and what do you want?" she spat.

He listened to her and noticed she wasn't a threat so he calmed a little. "Oh you are just a simple kittypet. I am Ravenclaw and I am in Amberclan the best clan out there." He looked back at the clan. It had been so long since he was a kittypet and he kinda missed it.

"I really don't have a frontrunner at all...i'ts very concerning to me. Even though i still have all nine lives, no one really knows how quickly i will lose them. So i need to find a deputy as soon as possible..." I sighed, shaking my head. My honey-colored eyes filled with uncertainty as i looked over at Silverclaw as we walked, beginning to speak again. "Though if i'm looking for a cat who can get along with their clanmates....i think Ravenclaw would be out of the question.." I chuckled, thinking of how aggressive the tom could get.

Batpaw stiffened slightly at Sunnygaze's lick, barely holding back a small mew of protest. Although it was meant to be affectionate, it brought back some rather unpleasant memories. A twisted feeling took rook in his stomach, and after a few seconds the twisted feeling increased as Sunnygaze mewed what the plan was. Your going to make the decision on who's personality fits the best? Even as he followed the med cat, his namesake ears flattened a bit. Then there is no way I can get that position. I have good knowledge of herbs - unknown to this clan, I had former training. I have dealt with the pressure of death, the strict code, the time it takes to learn and care for the clan in general. But personality wise?

Many a cat in the clan would prefer to avoid me, period. If it's by likability- which you stated it is- then Petalpaw has this won paws down, regardless of what I do. I cannot change whom I am. The tall ebony tom didn't open his maw to speak, regardless of those thoughts. Instead he let his maw part slightly to scent the air while his filmy turquoise orbs danced worthlessly over the trees surrounding the camp around them. Why take me out, Sunnygaze? I'm sure you've noticed I don't play or chat with the other apprentices or warriors. You know I'm not a social butterfly, avoided by almost all, so why drag me away from my patrol when I am so close to my warrior's orientation, something that I can actually do, regardless of my temperament?
