Ekho is a mysterious one. She rarely speaks and tends to keep to herself, never really approaching anyone for any reason. She tends to stay away from the city, living up in a cave to seclude herself from the rest of the world. Nobody really knows much about her, other than she is a sorceress with strong powers. If you manage to befriend her, you won't see much of a change. It's as if she's mute, not many getting to hear her speak. No one is quite sure why this is, they believe that she is cursed. Ekho, when alone, is actually quite silly and weird. She loves to make various potions or learn new spells, some deadly and others useless.

Ekho doesn't speak for multiple reasons, all a mystery to everyone other than herself.
The main reason Ekho doesn't speak is that she harmed herself with a spell when she was defending herself. It messed up her voice box, not allowing her to speak at all to start with. After a while she learned how to undo it, however it only worked partially due to a missing ingredient that wasn't in her spell book. This at least allowed her to speak in small sentences at a time, or mimic whatever the last person said. She commonly finds herself mimicking them, like an echo, instead of talking herself. She also takes what people say and rearranges them to her liking. She also doesn't really like how her voice sounds. Ekho is rather self conscious of herself and doesn't like her voice as much as everyone else's. Ekhos voice is actually rather sweet to hear and nobody seems to understand this, until she continually mimics you. Poor Ekho wishes to sing, but due to her accident this rendered her unable to even sing for a solid 30 seconds. She gets rather sad over this and dislikes thinking about it. Although one of the sillier reasons it's rather true for poor Ekho.

Ekho was born to a middle class family with 2 other siblings. She was expected to be proper and lady-like, however she didn't like this. Even at a young age, Ekho spent most of her time reading and staying in her room alone, learning new things on her own. She took a particular liking to wizards and witchcraft and would commonly read about who and what they were, and their unfortunate doom due to beliefs they were evil. Ekho would also find herself trying to make their spells and such work, or make her own potions that were really just different drinks poured together to make something either very disgusting or simply divine. Unfortunately, at the age of 5 she was abandon by her parents when they found out about her interest. She didn't know why at the time, and when she tried to go back into the village she was shunned by her parents and the other villagers would commonly try to catch and kill her in belief she was a young witch who would grow to be more powerful then they could imagine and needed to be eliminated before that could happen. One day she went into town to attempt to convince them all she was not a witch, let alone evil. Many chillas gathered up and surrounded her, shouting and growling. Nervous and alone, Ekho froze up. She tried to speak, but with everyone screaming at her she couldn't take it. Ekho backed away, and as she felt them behind her she couldn't take the idea of being hanged. As one approached her she swung her paw, and to her horror a wisp shot out of her paw and struck the stranger, killing him instantly. The townspeople were obviously not convinced that she wasn't a witch and trapped her to bring her to the king to see how he wished for her to die. Ekho, just finding out about here powers, wished to test them. She remembered multiple spells from the books she read and decided to test them out. She used a short term mind control spell on one of the guards, allowing her to escape to the safety of the mountain caves.

As she grew older her magic became much stronger, and by the time she was 10 she had made the caves her homes and even the small creatures she had managed to befriend. She lived in harmony with them, and sometimes would use her magic to try and help them out. Ekho commonly tested out her spells on nonliving things to see what would happen, or on trespassers that decided to go up to the mountains to pursue her for whatever reason. Unfortunately, when she was 13, new strangers had brought a mirror to deflect her spells. Ekho hadn't known about this, and she castes a spell that rebounded and hit her. It caused her markings to change color depending on her mood, as well as shifting a part of her vocal cords. She eventually drove off the intruders, however she could never reverse the emotions curse she had casted. When she was 16 she found a way to partially repair her vocal cords, however not completely. Not to long later, at the age of 17 she met a handsome strong male about her age, not to much older than she. He was a charitable and very sweet guy who seemed to care for Ekho, and they spent a lot of time together for the next 2 years. Unfortunately, Ekho was fooled. Another side of him, one she had never even seen came out. He captured her and attempted to take her to the village, he had told them everything. What her strengths and weaknesses were, what she feared. She once again managed to escape, running to the safety of her cave and never really coming out.
