Jade came to a sudden stop, her paws slapping the ground. She heard the odd urgency in his voice, and watched as he left the group, suddenly disappearing into the brush. Her fur prickled slightly, and she positioned her ears so she could hear the noises of the undergrowth better.

Tolek continued searching for Ranni.

Jade inched forward, sniffing the air. Her eyes widened as she caught the scent of another wolf. "Tolek?" she asked quietly, wondering if he could still hear her. Her fur stood on end as she continued to stare into the bushes.

Tolek barely heard her whisper and turned back. He felt something wrong in the air, besides the mysterious pup that was intermingling with Ranni's scent.

Jade's ears pinned back as she saw Tolek once again. Her voice was low and measured as she asked, "Did you find anything?" she let her fur lay flat as she tried to read his emotions.

"No, too fast for me to find stealthily, and I believe it won't be a problem... Are you okay?" He asked when he saw her ears.

Jade nodded suddenly, aware of how tense she was. "Yeah, sorry," she added apologetically. "I was just worried we were about to run into a problem," she admitted.

"Its probably just the threat of the Drerans, and the vanishing of the gaurdians... Oh I just wish someone would... Never mind, we should hunt now," He said, tired, though only his eyes betrayed that fact.

Dasiana trotted through the thick undergrowth, in hot pursuit of her prey. Then, she leapt, and felt the satisfactory crunching of bones as the rabbit died under her weight. She immediately dug in, and growled in pleasure.


Thor lay atop a small rock mound, sleeping soundly in the warm sunlight.

Altair was trotting through the forest, his paws causing the leaves under him to crunch. Then, he felt a sudden urge to howl, and he stopped. He howled a long and beautiful howl, then continued onward, his dark pelt keeping him well hidden in the shadows.
