Birth of the Bonus Cookie
Stella huffed, rolling over into her back. It was any other day and yet the caramel colored female had the same issue. Boredom. Her tail fluff hung in her face, she batted it away playfully, hearing paw steps up ahead. She blinked and sat up, glancing over the clearing as a white tail bobbed up and down. Stella perked her ears and blinked her eyes in curiosity.
The white female jumped out towards her, wagging her tail happily with a duck clutched in her jaws. Stella licked her lips, she had not eaten yet and it looked mighty tasty. The white female came closer with her tail raised high, a sign of friendliness. Stella sniffed it with disinterest when she realized it was uncooked, she had snuck the farmers cooked meat a couple times and it beat anything raw.
The white female was apparently named Aneira, as she spelled out in the dirt with a claw. Stella giggled and played her game, drawing her own name in front of her to show the younger female. Stella wasn't one for speaking too much herself. When Aneira plopped the duck down to share it with Stella, the brown hyenea had other plans, smirking as she picked it up and ran off towards the hunter's house.
Aneira, shocked and confused, ran after Stella, not wanting to be left behind and without her duck. Stella shushed her when the approached the large smoke-stacked house. The caramel female waited until the dogs and man of the house retreated inside after cooking out on the fire. She couldn't help but steal sniffs of the aroma of the carrion and such that they cooked. She had to hide the duck from Aneira so she would not try to eat it before she could show her her glorious plan.
Though getting it onto the flames was much harder than Stella thought it would be. “Well, don't just stand there... help me mush it onto there.” She pointed towards the grill. “Wait, pluck the feathers first and dismember the body. Trust me.” the hyenea mused, licking her lips as the molded meat began to cook.
When they had pried it from the fire, it looked like a hard round cookie with large pieces of bone sticking out that resembled chips. Stella held it close and sniffed it carefully. “Mmmm, that's a bonus cookie! All of the tender meat goodness cooked into a tiny round crunchy snack!”
Stella broke it in half, half for Aneira and half for herself. It wouldn't have been cooked if not for her but it wouldn't have been caught if not for her new friend. “Here's too a beautiful friendship.~”
And from that day forward, Stella decided to cook whatever she found and mold it into a cookie shape before eating it. Dubbing them, bonus cookies.
