Mousekit:
Giving a muffled moan, I roll over and find my muzzle buried in mommy's tummy fur. I shake myself free and stand up on stubby legs. "I'm hungry!" I croak angrily, and nuzzle my way into mommy's belly, until I'm rewarded with a stream of milk. I relax into my nursing, and kneed mommy's skin softly.
Stonekit:
Crouched between Mousekit and Tinykit, I can't help but notice Shadekit and Lilly huddled close together. Sounding a loud sigh, I fight my way to Mom's belly and latch on for some milk.
Hawktail:
Purring in agreement, I touch my nose to hers in return, then lean back and bask in the warm presence of my large family. Four kits is a good litter; especially since they all seem healthy. Tinykit may be small, but she's strong, I can see it in her eager appetite and large attitude. I have no worries for our kits, except that they seem to grow very quickly.
Foxfur:
"Actually, that's a great idea!" I say, flicking Shadepelt's flank with my tail in gratitude, "What do you think, Greystar? Would it be alright if we brought you some prey until we figure out what's wrong with you fish and birds?" I ask.
"My cats can hunt for themselves." He says defiantly, but after a seconds' suspended silence, he relents, "But I do see your point. we've little or no prey to hunt on our own land, and we can't hunt on your land without your leader knowing... Very well, we will graciously accept any prey you bring us." He sighs, dipping his head in respect. Startled, I dip my head as well, but as I lift it once more, I see that all of Riverclan has gathered, and all of the cats around us are tucking their chins with grateful salutation. My breath catches in my throat, but I push it aside.
"We will deliver prey on your side of the stepping stones, twice a day. Once before sunrise, and once after sunset." I declare, then turn, beckoning Shadepelt with a flick of my tail. I say no more to Riverclan.
