Bronzekit blinked his deep blue eyes and stared at Smokekit's emerald green eyes. He giggled and tried to walk properly, but he fell down on his face. He yowled a little, alerting his mother.

Smokekit-
Smokekit snickered at her brother's failed attempt of walking, amused at his clumsy display. She padded towards him and nudged him, wanting to see him get up and try again.

Lily looked up weakly and saw a she-cat with a worried expression on her face. She could barely see her through the hazy black spots across her vision.

Bronzekit got up again and scowled at his sister. He stepped! Then he kept padding around, and began to run. And then he jumped onto his sister. "I betta!" He mewed his first words, loud enough for Emeraldeyes to hear. His first words were boasting, and he had now said his first word, well, first! Before Smokekit!

Meadowpelt
Meadowpelt tended to Lily, making sure to give her extra poppy seeds. "Now, don't fight the urge to sleep. You need to sleep to get fully recovered." She told her softly.

Smokekit squirmed under her brother grip, and whined at how hard he was playing. She squealed, and batted at his belly to try and get him to go back onto the ground and not her pelt. Finally squirming loose, she whimpered and ran to Emeraldeyes again. All of a sudden playing with her brother didn't seem like so much fun.

"Whuh?" Lily blinked slowly. "Whatta ya meeee..." she yawned, then fell into a blissful sleep, not finishing her word.

Bronzekit pouted. "Nooooooooooooooo!" He whined. "I'm sowwy.." He padded gloomily over to her.

When Lily woke up, she felt loads better. But her limbs were stiff and she had an awful headache. She opened her eyes and saw Meadowpelt holding a paw that belonged to a kitten not much older than herself.
Meadowpelt pulled a thorn out with her teeth and the cat winced, lowering his paw and keeping it off the ground.
Meadowpelt bound it with what she called a "poultice" and the cat sighed, announcing that it felt much better and ran off.
"How'd you do that?" Lily asked, struggling to sit up.
