"Oh, isn't it exciting! My little Kiki is going out on a little adventure!" Ebony squealed, shaking her clutched hands on either side of her face like a little child would. Kismet huffed and rolled her eyes at her mom's childish disposition, and the fact that she had called her by the name she most despised. "Mom, this is the the hundredth time you said that this morning." However, a smile had somehow worked up on her face as she looked at her mother's point of view. She's basically watching her only child leave to begin her own life just as she had done when she was younger, and just as much as it was sad for her, it was also exciting to see her "baby" grow up. Yeah, that seemed about right and she didn't blame her mom one bit for completely smothering her since she got the news, and they've only moved to Vaniville a few days ago. It's gotten worse, since the day of her new adventure was not too far away now. At this moment, it was best for her to go outside and gather her personal space to its rights. She carefully laid one of the boxes she was carrying to the side and got ready to leave. "I'll be back soon. I'm just going out for a bit to look around." Her mom didn't even hear her as she hummed happily, unpacking boxes and cleaning everything till it looked as good as new.
They've only been here for about three days and she already gathered information on what the town was like. Vaniville was a cozy little community that was somewhat laid back. In her perspective, the place had a slight charm to it. The houses around the block were all lined up together like dominos, most often sporting an attractive front yard with neighbors waving at you with a welcoming smile like they've known you all their life. For some people in the town this was probably true. She sighed softly as she took in all the different sights and sounds, curious to know more about the place. Her small tour was ended when she realized there wasn't much to explore in the area. The thought suddenly hit her that she should visit Midna, a really close friend of hers that she had known mostly all her eighteen years. Thing is, she didn't quite remember where her best friend lived. Her mom had told her where she lived, but she must have been off in her own little world again. She began her journey back home, looking everywhere about her in hopes of finding Midna.
As she searched, her mind slowly wandered off. She started thinking of the day she would join Midna and the others on their adventure, a real pokemon at her side. Only once or twice has she seen one in person, but she never got to touch or even own a pokemon. Back when she was younger, Ebony, her mother, had told her she owned a Pikachu and would go into all these fascinating stories of their make-believe adventures. They would get into all sorts of trouble, from running off by herself to who knows where when her mother wasn't looking to pulling pranks on the neighborhood kids. On all these excursions, her loyal pokemon was always forever by her side. Kismet was just a tad jealous, for she has always wanted one of her own. Now the opportunity has finally came around. She was in total disbelief when Midna told her on the phone about the journey their about to take -- if she was willing to join. Of course, she yelled yes in the phone in excitement and had to keep asking her if it was true. Though she knew it was true because her best friend has always been truthful with her. She was just not ready at that moment for such brilliant news, her brain just didn't want to register it. Now she was ready for anything.
