I have been working and working on this,and it is to be edited even more but I've been dying to post it. And my laptop is back so.. Yea. I was inspired by the Northwest Coast art style, and the ombre style. She isn't done, and please don't take the name! I believe this will be my third fursona; I adore her.
I am doing Jeff the Killer for Halloween; and learned about the Black Dahlia. I fell in love with the name. But as for Dahlia's design, I went along with a good deal of the shadowing and put my own twist on it, and I love how it's almost spider like. As seen on her front paw, it's Northwest Coast tribal. I may put some more on her, I'm pondering it. As for her eye marking, I believe I'm making her a fraternal twin to my handsome boy, Denaro. It's his marking, with another triangle inside and I put a swirl on it. Her eye is snake-like, expressing my love for reptiles too. On the inner corner it fans out a bit down her snout. I don't really like the marking on her mid-section, and am contemplating what to do there.
I believe I'm done.. I'll probably add items and things later, but for now I like her base. I'll tweak it, as I always do, but I'm really impressed with her design. I realize it follows the shadows a ton. but that's what I mean I still want to tweak it. I am changing them so they don't look exactly like the original work.
