Alright, after a 23 day wait, here's the next entry!

I headed over to Jenette and she leaned down next to my ear.
You can't tell anybody what I'm about to tell you, okay?
Got it. HEY EVERYBODY! JENETTE HAS A SECRET SHE WANTS TO TELL US!

What'd I do wrong?
Everybody was looking at us now. I smiled and looked over at Jenette. She glared at me.
What?
When I said you can't tell anybody, I mean I have a secret to tell you. ONLY YOU.
Oh. OKAY EVERYBODY NEVERMIND SHE JUST HAS A SECRET TO TELL ME SO GO BACK TO WHATEVER YOU WERE DOING!
Jenette slapped her forehead, then slapped mine.

So, what's going on?

I swung my arm back and knocked somebody in the face.

Jenette pushed me out of the way and I landed face-first into the sand.

Jenette hugged Clyff and Clyff smiled slightly and hugged her back. DQ fake-gagged.
Please, save the romance! This is supposed to be an epic battle between good and evil! This is supposed to be the end of the world, and you two over there are huggin' on each other!
She's just upset because nobody's ever loved her.
Okay, that's it! DQ is outta here!
WAIT! TAKE ME WITH YOOOOOOOOUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!
Flower clung to DQ's leg and looked up with her big pleading bunny eyes.

Apparently cute eyes didn't work on a demon.

DQ shook Flower off and Flower landed in the sand. DQ snapped her fingers, but nothing happened.
Hello?
She snapped her fingers multiple times. Still nothing.
Okay, who did this to me?!
Silence. What was she even trying to do?
It was you, wasn't it, Jenette?! You somehow got rid of my teleporting powers!
Wasn't me, I swear.
DQ snapped her fingers angrily and black liquid suddenly shot out of her hand. She jumped back but the liquid kept coming out.
SOMEBODY HELP ME!
I knew something was wrong if DQ was asking for help. We ran over to DQ and helped her to her feet, but the liquid wouldn't stop coming out. Jenette put her hand on top of DQ's, but quickly drew it back and shook it.
The liquid burned me!
MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP NOW!
It suddenly stopped. The liquid disappeared from the ground and DQ's hand.
What was that?
Jenette smiled slightly.
It was your powers.















That's the end of book eight! I know it probably doesn't seem like it's long, but it's the same amount of pages as all the other books (in my WordPerfect program, anyway). Hope you enjoyed it, and sorry for the wait!!
