Evan growled at herself and then looked up at the sky. A murder of crows passed by, and she watched their beautiful black figures escape her sight once they passed the trees. The fea sighed once more and stood up. She wanted to stay with Dae, she really trusted him. But what about what just happened? Him snapping at her? He had some reasons. Evangeline knew she said something. Maybe her saying mates were a waste of time.... Judging by the fact Dae had a mate, Vixen.

[mindless.]

Dameon stood and shook his pelt. The male did not think of mates as a waste of time. No. But although he had the challenge of trying to trust his own mate Vix he found them very beneficial. That pack female was near to getting him over his grudge and fear of the pack mentality but she was so angry she would probably never forgive him. There was no way he would get over it without her. But more than that he needed someone he could trust and treasure right now. When his mind barked at him Evan was her he was frustrated and confused and snapped at her. Dae just could not control himself.

Archer watched her closely, listening to her. "It's ok. And it isn't your fault." He said reassuringly, moving past her and further into the den near the stream. He smiled, seeing fireflies bouncing around. "They're attracted to water." He said to her, glancing back at her.

Vixen paused, raising her head and letting out a howl. It was soft, powerful, and tired at the same time. She was done with patrolling and now had the issue of dragging her tired paws back to camp. When she did, she lay outside the den, waiting for dae. She couldn't help feeling bad for snapping at him. But the fae they had encountered had an attitude, and it didn't help he bounded after her. She lay her head between her paws, letting out a soft sigh as she busied herself with watching the fireflies floating around camp.

Camo looked at him and gave her head a nod "If you say so" her eyes followed him around the den as he made his way into the area where the stream was. Pushing herself up to her paws she padded into the area with him watching the lighting bugs bounce around the area "Then I guess that just makes me that much luckier. They are very beautiful" she gives a small smile lowering her head to the water and allowing her tongue to lap up some of the cool liquid. She was in love with this den, and the pack life was starting to grow on her. "If you do not mind me asking.. is it well rough running a pack?" she tilted her head to the side eyeing the brute over.

Dae released a low howl, one that was upset but not so much to concern much of everyone. Twisting it only a way a rogue would know to do he turned it in a nearly rough and aggressive tone. It was a call to Evan, using the rogue call to get her attention and softening it to an apologetic tune before ending it. There may have beena bit more than apology in the soft part of his call but that tune just found its own way in. He would not argue. Hopefully Vix would take it as a call to her of sweet apology. It was surprising how much you could get out in a resounding song. His broad chest helped him to make the calls longer and louder. Amber eyes taking in the night scene he knew a pack wolf would have no idea what was going on with that and would think he was bipolar. He should probably get back to camp.

Evan perked her ears and then nearly got herself up before forceing herself back down. "Leave him alone, Evan..." she whispered to herself.

Archer looked at her watching her curiously. "Yes. Yes it is. There is of course, having the weight of the responsibility on your shoulders. But I try my best, I want to help, to make everyone happy. But I can not. Even in my efforts, there are some amongst the pack that... disapprove of me. They would rather see me dead then have my help." He shrugged, picking his gaze from the stream to her eyes. He still couldn't shake them from his head. He wasn't secretive, but trusted her for some reason. "I.. I wanted to make sure Vixen was safe, I suggested her to Dameon for protection. She hates me but its the least I could do."

Vixen swiveled her ears, hearing Daes howl. She smiled softly and raised her head, letting out a strong howl, promising their future, reassuring him. She lowered her head, her chest aching slightly from the long whoosh of air she had used to sing back to him. She thought once again of pups, but shook the thought away. Soon, maybe. She would have to gain a little more trust in him. She picked herself up from the ground and slid into the den, curling her tail around her nose and closing her eyes. She fell asleep quickly.

Camo set up on her rear her paws placed elegantly before her and her eyes locked on him she was trying to meet his but he was staring down at the water so for a moment she peered off and up into the sky to look at the lighting little insects that buzzed around her head and his as well till she heard him speak again. Her autumn eyes flicking to him they met his wonderful blue eyes that were just amazing to her for some reason. She gave her head a tilt "I know you want to protect the pack and your sister and you are doing a good job at from what I can see, and so you have one or two that do not like you and would like to see you dead along with myself, and your mate, and your pack no one will let that happen. I may not be much of a fighter more of a healer I will fight for you" she smiles her eyes looking away from him for a moment and down at their reflections in the water "And suggested her? You mean you kind of put them together with out them loving another?" her ears slightly went back on her head.

Archer perked his ears, still watching her then at their reflections. "I appreciate it more then you can believe. I..." he began and paused for a moment before beginning again. "I don't have a mate." He blinked, trying to hide the sadness he knew would be in his eyes. He sincerely thought about telling her about ash. He chuckled softly. "I did. But believe me, Vixen fell head over tail for him the moment he walked into camp. He seemed interested enough in her. I didn't force them, just told him she was fond of him. " he smiled, remembering the day. He still watched the water as he began again. "Love is important, it is very similar to life then you could imagine." He sighed, an almost pained look on his face before he smiled again. "I am glad you're here." He laughed as a lightening bug landed on his nose.

Camo listened to every weird that he said and she gives him a small smile "Well you don't need to thank me" she smiles looking at him as he trails off and seems to pause on his statement her ears go back thinking she had said something wrong again "Well even if you do not now I am sure you will find a female soon enough maybe the right one just hasn't come around yet" she smiles looking at him again and letting out an innocent cute little giggle "That is true I did seem them eye balling one another" she smiles again her tail curling up some as she lifts a paw up and pushing her weight onto the other. "I agree with that, love, is one of those things that when you look into the eyes of a brute or a female in your case you just know it is there, but for me even when I seem to feel that it just never seems to come back my way" her ears go down again till she hears him laugh and her ears perk up knowing the pained look in his eyes "Are you alright?" she tilts her head as the bug lands giggling out loud as she leans her nose into his just before it seemed she was gonna touch her's to his she gave the small creature a poke watching it fly off into the air she giggles again "I wonder what it feels like to fly, Archer" her autumn eyes were staring up into the bugs atmosphere.
